This restaurant has seating inside. Outside seating is available during nice weather. We visited on a Tuesday night and were asked if we had made reservations. We hadn't but they had a table for us. As the evening went on, the restaurant became very busy and I can see why reservations are a good idea. We ordered three different burgers, all were tasty. You have the option of ordering a small or large sized burger. I went with the small and it was still very filling. The burgers come with fries, or you can substitute sweet potato fries at an additional cost. You can also request your burger cooked rare, medium or well done. I requested medium well, but that wasn't an option. The service was friendly and somewhat fast. There aren't English menus, but the waitstaff are able to help enough with the translations. I would enjoy visiting again and recommend this restaurant. read more

Located down a quiet side street off of the main cathedral square, the Dom restaurant has been serving great burgers and steaks for 11 years. A relaxed atmosphere attracted us there on a moderately warm, rain-free afternoon. The outdoor seating is in front of the main entrance/dining room which is located in a historical building housing an Indian restaurant and dance studio in addition. Staff is polite and professional, service was quick and also relaxed. You can really hang out here. There were families and couples with dogs as well as a lone student or two drowning in books and aperol spritz. I tried a vegetarian burger called the Aphrodite, perhaps called that for its ingredients which include Greek feta and a creamy sour cream, red peppers sliced and marinated in chili oil. All burgers come with thick-cut fresh fries. You can also get sweet potato fries instead for an additional 2€. My husband had a fish burger which minces smoked fish and white fish together, he loved it. There's a decent drinks menu too featuring local beer and wine and two homemade ice teas I regret not trying. The indoor seating looks cool too, but on a nice day, you can't beat that outer space overlooking Konstanz's oldest hair salon (gorgeous building) and Tudor-style (Landhaus Stil) building to the right. read more

Going to Dom makes sense if you want to enjoy good burgers in great company. And probably watch football. Here's the rundown. Burgers come in 3 sizes. You don't want the biggest size unless you literally have not eaten for several days. The L size is plenty for most people. Yes, you get fries with that. My favorite is the Mafia Burger (€8.90 at L size). If you have a stale, reactionary, pre-defined notion of what a burger should be like, this will be a life-changing experience. Eating this burger will also make people afraid of you and suspect you partake in illicit activities. read more

Stopped in for lunch after installing Yelp to find something to eat. The other positive reviews are spot on. My burger was awesome and my wife's veggie burger was also great. They use local suppliers and the quality is amazing. We are planning to stop by at least once more! They do seem to specialize in burgers, but also do steaks and salads. They looked good on the other tables, so am planning to give those a shot. Our server was helpful and attentive. We ate outside, which was lovely even with the weather being hot. Burgers are OK. Nice place and well decorated inside and out. You can't sit upstairs in the balcony as that is an Indian restaurant. As per what's seems to be German custom the burger is drowned in "sauce". If you are needing your burger fix this will get you through another week. The small is tiny, the XL is pretty big, maybe a 1/3 lb. Enjoy watching people eat burgers using a fork and knife. read more

Given limited choices for good food in Konstance we settled for DOM. Cool terrace and service but horrible burger. Cheese was not even melted and meat felt like a hokey puck. We woke up the next day with a ball in our tummies. read more

We had just done 70 kms on bikes, so were after something filling and restorative. In Mr A's book this means "burgers", and Dom came highly rated. We sat outside in the middle of a quiet day, so service was predictably swift. The burgers come in many varieties and were colossal: impossible to eat without making a mess. The patty was excellent, and the fillings very good; the sauces (honey mustard in one case, some mayo-based thing in the other) were good but applied a bit too generously. The accompanying potato wedges were the real thing. The large accompanying Olympia salad (i.e. Greek-like) was generous, but a bit heavy on the dressing. Overall a very satisfying meal. read more

Burgers and fries are good. Beers are just okay, but typical of Europe (obviously I'm spoiled by the far better craft beer selections we have in the US). But I was disappointed by a few things. First, how can you name your burgers "Miami", "Las Vegas", etc. but not have an English menu??!! The waiters speak only somewhat limited English, so they can't get orders right. I asked for no sauce on my burger but got it anyway. My wife got a salad and asked for the dressing to be either on the side or very light. But she got a salad that was just drowned in dressing.
