A little while later, I was asked what I wanted in my shawarma (everything, obviously) and the finished wrap was then placed in a press for several minutes. When I received it, it was piping hot (always a good sign). The wrap had been rendered almost flat by the press and the exterior was crispy without being burnt or hard. Honestly, this was delicious. One of the best chicken shawarmas I've had in a while. My only complaint would be the relative sparseness of the chicken; the chicken pieces were so good I was desperate for more.

The owner is super friendly. The food is 100% fresh, hot, tasty. The meat specifically is cooked to perfection and so juicy. It wasn't just the food, it was watching him assemble it--every step looked intentional and full of confidence. I took it to go, and by the first bite I knew I got lucky. The chicken was grilled just right--smoky, juicy, and full of flavour. The sauces weren't overdone, just the right amount to bind everything without masking the ingredients. It's the kind of wrap that you remember after it's done. I didn't expect a last-minute visit to turn into a food memory I'd actually want to come back for, but here we are. And why when friends come to visit, Maro's is always in the Top 3 places to try in Halton. They consistently serve up fantastic Lebanese food. I used to work in the area and would constantly walk by the two restaurants but given my timings, they were always closed. Pomegranate had been on my bucket list for a very long time. Luckily I managed to do just that and the experience was very pleasant. Both the food and the service were excellent. I had the lamb shank, which melted off the bone from tenderness, accompanied by an aromatic rice and salad. Also ordered Fesenjaan, which was incredibly tasty! They had a limited menu available on the day that we went. I will for sure return just for the Fesenjaan. It's flavour profile was out of this world. The restaurant is nicely decorated too. You can tell it's a busy and popular spot. Highly recommend reserving in advance.
