I found "Doll House Recovery" on Instagram and loved the fact that it was an all woman post op recovery home here in Tijuana. I contacted Claudia, The Doll House recovery center coordinator and booking with her was super fast and easy with no confusion at all. I booked Doll House for a pre op stay which was much cheaper than staying in those fancy hotels for one night that the doctors always recommend but here they provided me with dinner and even woke me up early for my appointment the day of my surgery. Following the days after my surgery, I felt the most vulnerable, weakest, and painful experience ever but being here with these wonderful ladies who after felt like all my mamas who bathed me, fed me, clothed me, cleaned my wounds, and even wiped my a$$ supported me mentally and emotionally and allowed me to get back on my own two feet. I'll forever thank them for having taken care of me when I felt I was at my weakest point in recovering. I shared rooms with my roomie (roxi) and made friends with the other girls as we made our walks around the hallways (kathy/flor) and even enjoyed a little cheat lunch on our last day here together in the common room. Oh and I can't forget the most amazing and sweetest massage lady here at Doll House (Mari) I felt like not only did she help me recover with the massages but was so sweet and attentive and heard my never ending life stories every time it was my turn to get a massage from her :) Definitely recommend this place if your coming alone like I did. But even though I came alone, being here at Doll House I felt like I was at my Tias or moms house, with the delicious Mexican home cooked meals, the after care, and the comfy recliner couches lol. By far the worse stay ever for a recovery home, I had surgery June 11th, trying to recover and heal at this home was a total nightmare, nurses like Rosita and Silvia whom are the owner's Claudia favorite, be Silvia is Claudia's Tia go figure. Both Rosita and Silvia gossip to each patient trying to recover about another nurses and other patients. Look I wasn't there to gossip I was there to recover. On one occasion I noticed Rosita mistreating another nurse making faces at her and talking down to her on low, I was observant of everything going on. One day I seen this particular nurse doing everything cooking for 8 patients and showering us after our massages, then running to the kitchen to serve us our food. I thought something didn't seem right. But with a smile that nurse did it and never once mistreated us patients. I called Claudia the owner to let her know what was going on and she pretty much dismissed it saying she's never had an issue, I think people just don't speak up. Claudia overbooked a private room and lied to a patient tell her there was a patient using the private room because she had complications, well we all talked and that patient in that private room had zero complications, she felt bad that she told her that because she never had complications. They aren't clean and they don't use proper PPE when coming in contact with bodily fluids. Bathrooms are dirty missing toilet seats. Just filthy! Claudia do better and invest in your business purchase the proper equipment and items needed for your caregivers. I had asked Claudia if her "nurses" were real "nurses " come to find out they aren't licensed nurses they are just señoras who caregiver. One even told another girl that came from Bella bodies with a numb leg after a procedure that she can only take care of her for 3 days. I was in shocked when I heard that, me and another girl who are actual nurses in US told her not to worry we'll help her. But let's take it back to the zaida the massage girl with a terrible attitude. The day of my first massage she gets there about 11am and behind her comes another girl not a patient of the house, we're all sitting there leaking and in our blood filled fajas waiting to be massaged, 2.5 hours go by and she's still with the unknown outside person. Rosita looks at me and tells me to call Claudia and let her know what's going on. I did and from that time Zaida had the worse attitude with me. On my last massage she would call out all the patients and left me for last, when it comes to my turn she decides to take a lunch break not tell me anything just leaving me there waiting. She walks by me and I look at her to see if she's going to say something, not a word is said! By this time it's 4:30 I've been sitting in filth leaking all kinds of fluid I can smell it smells rotten. I call Claudia and at this point I am mad. There is no reason why I'm sitting in filth. Trust me I didn't pay cheap! I paid a nice dime to stay there. LADIES STAY AWAY FROM THIS RECOVERY HOME! So much conflict of interest. Crazy that I would think I would get treated like this after all the owner and I share a mutual friend. All of this has been communicated with my surgeon who is a very reputable surgeon. Needless to say he doesn't stand for this type of treatment of his patients. Claudia get it together you are being lied to and manipulated by your own Tia! Rosita kisses your you know what but when you're not around she's a different person she's a chismosa and a two face but you'll look past that. The main one who always took care of all patients was Nancy! Thank you Nancy for all your help. I'm sorry you get mistreated. I seen it all with my own 2 eyes! read more

Awesome lovely ladies there! They were all so caring and catered to me every minute! They never were rude or made me feel uncomfortable, they made amazing food and the masseiuse Zaida is the best along with Rosita she was lovely! They even went to the pharmacy for me and they even sent a nurse to the house so I can get an IV when I was feeling really sick! They also are super affordable and I wouldn't have been able to do this without DOLLHOUSE! read more

PT. 1. I stayed at this house for a full 7 days. This was my 3rd surgery and I had previously stayed at 1 other recovery house for my other 2 surgeries. I reserved the private room and was excited since I saw it was a nice place. Before my surgery I sent them my address of where to pick me up. My mother was going to accompany me for my surgery. The day before I resent them the address so they would for sure have it and I noticed they only read it. The day of my surgery the driver (Damariz) contacted my mom in a rude manner demanding the address. After my mom sent it to Damariz, she claimed she didn't know where it was and to resend it. She had an attitude and said she needed to speak to who was responsible for me. My mom said well I'm responsible. Damariz said that wasn't enough and she needed to speak to my doctor otherwise she wasn't going to pick me up. My mom sent her the number even though it didn't make any sense. Damariz proceeds to say she needed to speak to the doctor and that she would pick me up once I let her know I was ready. This all happened before 10 am. They gave me a shower and of course I was feeling dizzy and nauseous since I had just had the surgery. My doctor was running late to release me but I knew he would be there by 11. It was around 10:30 when Damariz messaged my mom saying she was on the way. We had NOT told her I was ready. This confused the nurse, my mother and I because that meant she had called the dr and he must have gave her the ok then to pick me up even though he hadn't shown up yet. Since she was near the nurse decided to take my IV out and they started getting me ready. Within a few minutes my dr arrived and when he saw my IV was taken out he was angry because he had NOT been contacted by the driver. Meaning Damariz lied and decided to show up just because she felt like it. This created tension between the dr and the nurse because of the lack of common sense from the driver. Damariz showed up to the room, not saying hello or introducing herself and only said "Oh I thought you guys would be ready!" With an attitude. Everybody was obviously upset because it created tension, anxiousness and unnecessary rush to get me out. My mother was upset because obviously we know the drivers are on a time crunch but what was the point of demanding for my doctors number if she didn't even contact her? My mom went downstairs to the van and said my daughter has to lay on her stomach because I couldn't sit due to my glute implants. Damariz said ok. My mother went back upstairs to grab the stuff and when she comes down Damariz said that the owner Maria was on the phone and wanted to speak to her. The owner sounded upset saying that if "I needed an ambulance I should call one because it was against the rules to be laying flat on my stomach." And that "I seemed to be anemic or have had lost lots of blood in my surgery because the driver claimed I looked sick." My mother was so surprised because the driver Damariz manipulated the situation before we could even do anything. NO WHERE in the emails or booking does it say I could not lay on my stomach in the VAN. When you get a bbl the doctors tell you that is the best way to position yourself. And if I can be positioned like that in my small car why couldn't the driver be considerate to let me do what's best for my body? And obviously the day after your surgery everybody experiences nausea, dizziness, and even faint. I am not anemic and to assume my state of being without even seeing for yourself is unbelievable. Damariz continued with her attitude and said we could follow her to the house but what difference would that make? My mother decided to take me herself. When I got to the house I met Alma. She was very nice. I started crying out of frustration because of how rude Damariz was and the unnecessary conflict she caused all because she didn't want to accept the fact she was not doing her job the way she was supposed to. read more

I appreciated every step of the way... from the owner coordinating with me and making me feel safe and comfortable to the amazing and beautiful ladies that work there to care for us! I recently stayed here for a total of 5 nights. I would say communication was good. There was no hiccups. Owner was very responsive to me and staff was very generous. However, Rosita was just a plus for me. She absolutely made me feel welcomed & just overall taken care of. Meals are 9am, 12pm & 5pm. Medications are based on their meal time as well. I guess if I were to find something to complain about was just that it's really cold in the house during this winter time so showers were very intense. But other than that everything is pretty well. Rosita was always cleaning. Every shift change the ladies would sweep, mop, & disinfect. I stayed in a shared room and there was only one lady besides me in there and it was pretty cool to have someone to talk to. I would also say. Be prepared to feel home sick because the house remains quiet for everyone's privacy and resting so I cried like 2 nights into my stay because I missed my family lol but other than that what a great experience! Stayed her following my first surgery in TJ, and had a wonderful experience. All of the caretakers were amazing and so attentive. They worked hard to make sure my needs and the needs of all the patients staying there were met. From making sure my medication was taken on time, helping me with my drains, assisting me showering and getting dressed, propping me with pillows to make sure I was comfortable... everything you could think of they took care of with a pleasant, cheerful attitude. It was like having my own mom looking over me. Special recognition for Rosita. She is an absolute Saint. I felt like I had a guardian angel watching over me. The food was delicious, nutritious and just the right proportions for having just come out of surgery. The house itself is very beautiful and ultra clean. I was very glad I stayed there and would stay there again. My only suggestion is the transportation from the hospital to the dollhouse was not as smooth as it could have been. A bit more communication on the front end to coordinate with the hospital staff would have helped. But overall I was very grateful for the caretakers and the Dollhouse. read more

Had my sx with Dr. Pantoja and recovered here for almost a week. Aside from my surgery this was the best investment along my journey. I was so nervous about having surgery in Mexico but knowing I was going to dollhouse made me at ease. It felt like family. Ana and Margarita took such good care of me even when I was being a big baby lol. The price I paid was about $850 for 5 nights and it included everythingggggg. I was originally going to stay in the hospital for my recovery. However I was encouraged to stay the this recovery house for my week long recovery. The ladies in this house are great, very attentive and sweet. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and safe. They come to work with great attitudes, and try to cheer you up if you're blue. The food was delicious and they try to cater to special request when they can, which is very sweet. The only downside that I noticed, was that on my 4th day new gals arrived. The house was overbooked, and it got crowded. read more

I stayed at Doll house April 10-15th 2018 and it was the best desicion I made. I was scared cause I went alone after surgery my husband had to leave, their driver picked me up from my Drs, took me to the house. Their is security outside of the building, the area is close to my Drs office. I was right away greeted by the staff. I made awesome friends there. The house is simply but elegantly decorated. The caretakers all of them were on top if everything. I never once needed or wanted anything. Nayeli the night caretaker was amazing, she truly made my stay so much better. You go through so many emotions being away from family, kids your home and being in pain that she listened to me when i was homesick and missing my kids, she helped me feel normal by doing my hair telling me to put on a little make up. I can't thank her enough. I highly recommend them. The ladies really go out of their way to make your stay amazing. One girl was talking about how she was craving her moms puposas and next thing you know 30min later margarita comes in with some home made puposas. She didnt have to do that, that wasnt on the menu but thats just how giving and thoughtful these ladies are. You can see they take pride un their work and they love what they do. Sabrina the owner was always available by text if I needed her. I will be goibg back September 3rd for my second rounds and I can't wait to see all the ladies again! Ladies if you do stay please remember to tip them, they do so much for us when we need them the most they deserve it. Oh before I forget I received my lymphatic massages by maripaz and she was also awesome and it was so convenient that this service is offered. I stayed at dollhouse for a couple days following my TT and lipo. There's pros and cons so you have to weigh them out before deciding. There's a caretaker there 24/7(2 ladies during the day, 1 at night) There are 4 beds per room, so you'll definitely have roommates, which is a good and a bad thing, depending on how you see it. The good thing is you're around other women who are enduring the same pain and recovery you are. I was blessed and stayed with two of the nicest women I've ever met. I felt very fortunate to have met them. The only issue is, sometimes you just want to be alone... and you never really are. Because there are other women, you're sharing the caretaker's attention... it bugged me that I'd call for help and they'd come, but would drop everything and go help one of the other ladies if they called, and would leave me hanging. I ended up doing lots on my own and would only ask for help if I really needed it. They feed you three times a day and the food is light/healthy and great for your recovery. They also set reminders for your meds and stay on top of the schedule so you don't miss a dose. They helped me shower and washed my faja the days I was there. Overall, I'd give them a 7/10. I definitely recommend staying there if you're traveling from far away. The recovery for a TT is tough!!!! read more

These ladies are amazing I could have not done it without them. Surgery to me was so new I didn't know what to expect or how my recovery was going to be. They are the best I miss them already.
