I wrote a review. I uploaded photos. What does the Yelp moderator or perhaps its bot do? It created this Dollarama listing on Leslie Street in Newmarket. It is a problem with Yelp not knowing the greater Toronto area well. Between the two Dollarama locations, the distance is 49 km. It's essentially my commute one-way to work in Mississauga from Markham. I had to recreate the Yelp listing for the Dollarama on Leslie Street in Toronto, delete my review that was pulled under this Newmarket listing, take down all my photos here, and put my review and photos on the Toronto listing AGAIN. It was such a waste of my time. I kept a draft of this Dollarama in Newmarket since then, thinking that I'd visit it one day. It happened on Saturday. I revisited Newmarket after nearly a year and decided to check out this store at long last. It was straightforward finding this store. It's across from a Tim Hortons and a ten-second rice noodle joint. I parked fairly close to the entrance and walked in. Although there is a sign saying that the store is proudly Canadian, the list of credit cards accepted here has Discover. I am all for variety. I am a Discover card owner, as I applied for it while living in Minnesota and it has served me well. It just seemed weird. I should try using it someday. This store is set up like most Dollarama ones. The kitchen accessories greeted me. I saw everything from short stainless steel straws, to crisper trays. I knocked a star off my rating because there was a male staffer on a ladder, talking loudly on the phone while fixing a lightbulb about going through a breakup. Although I can sympathize that going through a breakup is tough, as a customer, I don't want to be subjected to your call. I want to shop in peace. I would think that it should be a private matter. It's also pretty unprofessional to broadcast everything to everyone passing by. Weird. I do like the toilet bowl cleaners at this store. I ended up getting some toilet bowl tablets. We'll see how effective they are. I was talking to a friend a few weeks back about not seeing Sun Chips in French onion these days. Lo and behold, this store had this flavour. OMG! I got a couple of bags. One for me. One for him. This store has self-checkout kiosks. I saw a human at the checkout across from them. I went with her. She was friendly and efficient. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and the transaction was successful. I got my receipt, thanked the woman, and left the store. I'm excited to try the French onion Sun Chips soon. I liked visiting this store. Hopefully, I won't get a broadcast of that male staffer's love life the next time I'm here. (318)

Little items are not to be found though so got to go to another Best Shop. Prices aren't cheap but the convenience factor is there. There seems to be a lot of elements on sale. Staff were friendly and helpful but I didn't need anything that day. Store was well arranged and clean. They even sell batteries! There is an entrance inside the mall and outside the mall. Parking is a little bit hard to find so park further and walk over.

I'm been here several times, since at least 2021. I believe I added this business listing to Yrlp in 2019, but never got around to writing a review until 2025. Unfortunately I lost the FTR opportunity in 2022. The largest vendors are: Walmart Supercentre, Canadian Tire, Winners, Staples, Sport Chek, Marks, and Ren's Pets. Some of the food vendors are Tim Hortons, McDonald's, A&W, Boston Pizza, Plates & Bowls, LAON Korean Restaurant, Hong Cha, Bulk Barn, and Arena Grill & Bar. I've been coming here to shop for well over a decade. I used to frequent Walmart and Canadian Tire more back then. My shopping habits changed over the years. These days, I have a main set of stores and eateries that I love: - Winners - Staples - Plates and Bowls I love that Winners and Staples are next to each other. I tend to hit both of them. I often find something cool at Winners, be it snacks or a pair of sneakers. At Staples, I still have a love for stationery and office supplies. I especially love the discount section at the back of the store by the office chairs. Plates and Bowls offers a hybrid of Indian and Middle Eastern dishes. The chicken shawarma is incredible. I am highly addicted to the butter chicken bowl. It's the perfect, comforting combination of rice, sauce, and morsels of chicken that make me come back for more. The apple slaw salad is incredible! I have probably visited A&W the most. Before Markham got an A&W, I'd get my root beer and burger fix at this eatery. There's a drive-thru, too. I have also dined at Thai Villa. Back then, it offered cheap meal specials. I don't know if they still do. The family who owns it was friendly and the food was decent when I was last there. For food and drinks, you have Boston Pizza, Tim Horton's with a drive-thru (yep, there are two drive-thru places here), Subway, and Sgt. Pepper's Pub. The pub always intrigues me, as it's next to Plates and Bowls. There's a nice selection of stores to shop till you drop. Dollarama. Bulk Barn. Rogers. SportChek. Reitmans. I like the thought of reducing the number of cans and bottles I use when buying pop and sparking drinks. Every little bit helps. I noticed in my inbox that Bed Bath & Beyond had a $20 coupon of an entire order. I decided to use it towards my new Sodastream machine. I also ordered a bottle of raspberry mint syrup to get started on my adventure making fizzy drinks. I ordered online and used my coupon to get $20 off my order. I chose to pick up both items. The minor problem? The Sodastream model that I wanted was available at my local Markham location and not at this store. My raspberry mint syrup was in stock here, but not at the Markham store. Yes, I visited two different Bed Bath & Beyond stores within two hours. It was nice getting reacquainted with them. This store is with a bunch of box stores, including Winners, PetSmart, Best Buy, and more. There was plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon. I browsed around the store. It was clean and bright. I looked at hand sanitizer and masks, and planted myself in the small appliances section for the longest time. I went to the pickup counter. My wait wasn't long. I gave the woman my name and a brief description of my item. She went to a couple of locked cabinets to fetch my bottle of beverage syrup. I provided photo ID (yay to an expired driver's licence that is valid these days during this pandemic) and the bottle was mine. I thanked her and left. On my way out the door, I was mesmerized by a cute Sun Bum ape mascot holding a tube of lip balm. I looked like such a tourist taking a photo of him. Sadly, he wasn't for sale. While walking around Shoppers Drug Mart we found a bunch of Mini Kinder Bars, which were perfect for gift giving. The cashier was friendly and quick. The store is neat and organized. They offer over-the-counter medications, health and beauty aids, cosmetics, fragrances, seasonal products, and household items.

Tip: There's a ton of parking at this plaza…read more Last Saturday, I visited Brooklin Town Centre after a late lunch. It had a Dollarama that I wanted to visit. I then ended up at Tim Hortons, The Beer Store, and Scotiabank. I am not great at knowing the exact name of any plaza or shopping area. I am there for specific stores. As long as I get there in one piece, I'm happy. This plaza looks fairly new. I'd say that it's less than a decade old. The plaza's sign is interesting. It has Brooklin Towne Centre -- Towne with an e. When you look at Google Maps, the e is dropped. My guess is that the property owner registered the name with the e to conjure up cozy historical vibes. Brooklin has a charming downtown area that I frequented a while back when it had a Copper Branch. My guess is that over time, the e got dropped from Town. It is an archaic spelling of the word that no one uses regularly. This plaza's got a FreshCo, BarBURRITO, Great Clips, A&W, and Shoppers Drug Mart that piqued my interest. I didn't need to visit any of them on Saturday. It was nice to know that they exist and I'll visit them eventually. I liked all the businesses that I had visited. They had everything that I needed. What stands out this that this plaza has three drive-thrus. It is the first time that I've witnessed it. Most plazas that I visit have a maximum of two. The three drive-thrus here are at: - Scotiabank - A&W - Tim Hortons What's cool is that they are all close to one another. Scotiabank and A&W has entrances next to each other. You do need to pay attention to which entrance you want. A&W and Timmy's have parallel drive-thru lanes, but they run in opposite directions. I looked at photos that a Yelper had uploaded for this business listing. It's odd that this person grabbed them off Google, as I can see the watermarks on most of them and they are fuzzy. Weird. However, I'm not going to knock this person for not taking photos. On the contrary, this person did a screen grab of Shoeless Joe's. I didn't see it when I was here. It looks like Piper Arms has taken over from where Shoeless Joe's used to be. I like this plaza a lot. There's April's Nail and Spa that seems to have decent ratings. Maybe when I feel like getting a manicure, I'll be here. I look forward to returning. I like how spacious it is. Folks were friendly at every business that I had human interaction with. (334)

Morning Glory essentially sells cute stationary and other adorable useless knick-knacks. I have a wallet that I've been using for a while now; it's nothing special, just a folding wallet with card slots and a coin compartment. Average quality, might last me another few years. I can't say I would go there regularly because i find their products are slightly overpriced and average quality. If you're looking to pick up a cute gift for someone and price is not an issue, give this place a try.
