This liquidation store offers a wide assortement of goods ranging from food, toys, household (bedding, decorations, kitchenware..) clothing and electronics. It is essentially a discount store that sells refurbished items that were normally sold at Costco for example, food that could be close to their best before date, discontinued items, "rejects" and other mistmatched goods. Most items are new and in great, unopened conditions. Other times the packaging could be damaged without affecting the quality of the item. There are many similar liquidation/outlet centers within the city that offer these types of deals, but this particular location caught my eye because they sold things I've never seen elsewhere. For example, they had frozen Mcdonalds chicken nuggets - a 1 kilo bag for 10$, which was roughly 50 nuggets. These are the real thing served at Mcdonalds restaurants and came directly from the supplier. We baked them at home and it was a hit - the whole family loved them! It's a fun place to shop if you want to come often since it's like a treasure hunt. You never know what you'll find. We ended up also buying some cheap Keurig coffee Kcups, chocolates some beauty items and a blanket. Small family run business with great service. The clothes for men are also very nice and you can find kitchen and bathroom accessories. All their employees are very kind and they're really there to help and not sell (they aren't paid by commission). This Simons (Anjou) is definitely my favorite Simon between St-Bruno, Montreal and Anjou i'll say i prefer Anjou. Simon Anjou is brand new and the shopping experience is perfect. A true paradise. So finding Mayrand was an interesting and clever treasure hunt. Back in the late 80's my dad would take us to a place in Winnipeg called Jensen brothers. This was pre-Costco and a true cash and carry. This was the type of place where you could get some smoking deals on large quantity items. Discovering Mayrand was an exciting and intoxicating display of goods in large quantity. Do you need a 14L pail of Ice cream? Probably the hell not! Unless you are having the whole neighbourhood over for a block party. Or do you need a whole leg of prosciutto? If your family is from Italy or you are having a feast you may need one! Okay folks, Mayrand has quantities for everyday shopping as well. Lots of items! Pretty much every department. They also have a huge restaurant and commercial business side catering to restaurants, bars and other food service outfits as well. I will be honest with my review. It's not all unicorns and gumdrops. I did buy a very cool sharp oyster knife and did search on Amazon after and found it for $20 less. Yes I was a tad pissed. I did want it ASAP though to shuck the two dozen oysters I just had purchased. So shop and understand your prices. Some items here are hella cheap. Think bulk quantity. Every time I call customer service, I get a different answer. They promised December 2, now they say December 15. A supervisor even suggested I just cancel the order. Completely unreliable service. Because this isn't the biggest mall on the island we usually find a lot of products that are sold out of other chain retailers here. The mall has a good selection of chains and independent stores. The parking lot has adequate parking and serval entrances. The malls entrances all have hand sanitizers and social distancing spacing stickers. Every store we visited had there staff following all safety guidelines.

One of the anchors has closed, so for now they only have three major stores. Inside the mall it was very clean, well-lit, and roomy. Outside there is a lot of parking available, and the mall is hard by major expressways so getting here and back is easy. Located right on the edge with entrances inside and outside of the mall are some nice restaurant chains - we went to the Baton Rouge steakhouse connected to the mall. While a mall is a mall is a mall is still true, this one was pretty nice with middle quality stores throughout. Loads of eating places near the center portion of the mall.

Like many part supply stores they have a variety of balloons that you can have filled with helium on the spot or your can order ahead. Pretty much any colour they've got, They also have a great variety of costumes and decorations for any type of event. There's so much to look at that by the time I got to the cash I had planned 12 other parties in my head. We went there looking for a specific halloween costume that we could not find anywhere else (sold…read moreout) for my teenage daughter. The good: Was not busy when we went. They have a system of binders where you write down the code of the costume you want, and the costumes are in the back store, which avoids people from opening the costume bags and damaging the costume. You can try on the costume before purchase. Prices are good and competitive. Store is big. They have a balloon station. They also have a wedding section. Big choice for teens and toddlers. The bad: Some staff members, not all though, do not want to be there and it shows (no smile, no customer service). Parking is totally AWFUL! I think this store must be difficult to get service when busy (but this is an assumption). No clerks on floor for help if we need a question (we were wondering something in the wedding section, could not find anyone in 20 minutes' time). In the end, this store does NOT label itself as a Halloween store. Therefore you might find that costume you are looking for. But you might wait a while before trying it on if the store is busy.
