I'm a fan of this brand, and this seems to be the only New Balance store in the Montreal area, and…read moreit's an outlet. I was hoping to find some good deals, and while the deals and discounts did seem great (stacked discounts of i believe 30% off of already sale-tagged item prices) - I personally found the selection of items to be lacking. I tried on a few pieces of clothing, but none of them were quite the right fit for me, which I did not expect. I have trouble finding clothes that fit well, but with New Balance I can usually find *something* that is nice, stylish, and suits me well. On this day, however, I left empty handed...though they seemed to have plenty of buyers and back-to-school shoppers while I was there. I don't think I would personally go out of my way to go back to this location, as there wasn't as much clothing as I hoped there would be and the store was a bit smaller than New Balance stores I've been to in the past. Ultimately: not for me, but I would still recommend it to others people if they're in the area as the prices were great.

This liquidation store offers a wide assortement of goods ranging from food, toys, household (bedding, decorations, kitchenware..) clothing and electronics. It is essentially a discount store that sells refurbished items that were normally sold at Costco for example, food that could be close to their best before date, discontinued items, "rejects" and other mistmatched goods. Most items are new and in great, unopened conditions. Other times the packaging could be damaged without affecting the quality of the item. There are many similar liquidation/outlet centers within the city that offer these types of deals, but this particular location caught my eye because they sold things I've never seen elsewhere. For example, they had frozen Mcdonalds chicken nuggets - a 1 kilo bag for 10$, which was roughly 50 nuggets. These are the real thing served at Mcdonalds restaurants and came directly from the supplier. We baked them at home and it was a hit - the whole family loved them! It's a fun place to shop if you want to come often since it's like a treasure hunt. You never know what you'll find. We ended up also buying some cheap Keurig coffee Kcups, chocolates some beauty items and a blanket. Small family run business with great service. If you like finding a deal and are in need of a gift at a good price come here!

Galleries Terrebonne is the main shopping mall in Terrebonne. Kind of the same feeling you get when you have a dog (that you are not the most attached to) that is getting old and you know it may die at some point. For store selection it does have your basics: a pet store, Laura Secord chocolate, Pharmaprix (pharmacy), all the main CDN phone companies, Aldo shoes and a few other shoe stores, Greiche and Scaff (optometrist), Sports Expert and Atmosphere, Fruits and Passion (lotions and Potions) and many more stores mostly on the mid tier price range. It's a place you can come for gift shopping however it does have it's limits as selection of stores is okay but not great. On the north end is Maxi supermarket which is connected (so you don't need to walk outside on those cold winter days). It's a large Maxi and is a no frills kind of grocery store (bag your own groceries). The food court has enough selection: Amir (Shwarma), sushi, Tiki Ming cheap Asian, Subway, Mcdonalds and of course a pizza place. Quality is not high but on the average side of okay. I come here out of necessity not really need as I'd rather drive farther to Carrefour Laval or Rosemere for their malls. Hopefully they work to update this place before it becomes more dated and sad looking. Parking on most days is not an issue but when busier it's ridiculous as there seems to be only enough for about about a hundred and fifty to two hundred cars. These are the times I stay away unless forced to come here.

I have purchased a number of items without any problems from this discount outlet, although I am…read morenot convinced that they sell discounted items from the regular Sarah Pacini stores as opposed to stock made specifically for direct to outlet stores. However, I recently purchased an item by mistake in the wrong size and was very put off that the store refused to exchange it for the same item in another size, citing their final sale policy. There is no reason for an store, even an outlet store, to be so unreasonable. Will not be shopping there again, so I don't know what they gained by their inflexible policy.

TL;DR/The Short Version: Discount store with lots of cool…read morestuff. Good prices. The Long Version: I love discount stores and dollar stores, so I had to pop into Magi-Prix during my latest trip to Laval. It has a dollar store feel, but items are more than a dollar (although even stores that call themselves dollar stores these days rarely have anything that's only a dollar anymore. Most things are more than a dollar). They have furniture and I actually saw a few cool pieces, but nothing that I really needed. I was most impressed by their food section. They had lots of imported goods. They had teas from Germany, cookies from France and chips from France too. I ended up buying 2 boxes of tea from Sri Lanka. One was a green tea with soursop and banana flavours. I've never seen this flavour combination and admittedly it sounds strange, but more the reason to get it, right? Lol. The other was a black tea with ginger. It's rare to find a black tea with just ginger flavour. Many add lemon and honey. And some add lemongrass and/or licorice. So I was thrilled to find a plain tea and ginger. I was eyeing the Brets chips. They were $4.50 each, and had lots of unusual flavours, but I didn't find a flavour I had to try.
