At Backbeat we also have all the products to help keep that vinyl collection and turntable in top shape. We carry the Spin-Clean Record Washing System, Mobile Fidelity accessories, carbon-fibre record and stylus brushes, outer and inner sleeves, speaker cable and connectors, and much more. Original review: So Almost Perfect is a chain with several locations. Prior to my visit to this Brockville location, I had only ever been to the Toronto location. I would say that the Brockville location is comparable to the Toronto location. Almost Perfect is a grocery store outlet. They sell items that are "almost perfect" like mis-formed chocolate bars, or broken cookies. They also sell items that are approaching their best-before date or discontinued products, like things in flavours that didn't sell well. Their prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. I got some kale chips that usually sell for $6.99 a bag at Loblaws for only $3.33 a bag (the "best-before date" was 3 months from the date of purchase, so not bad at all). They had lots of Udi's gluten-free breads going for $10 for 3 loaves. They had Annie's organic gummies for $2.99 a box. Inventory changes regularly, so it's a surprise with every visit :) This location is a stand alone store (not in a strip mall). There's an attached parking lot with free parking. Staff are super nice and helpful. They only take cash or debit. No credit cards. This place is awesome. If I lived in Brockville, I would go every week!

You may have heard of the Amish Store in Balderson for the fine, sturdy, and well built furniture…read morethey offer for sale. However, you may not know that they have started building kitchens. YES - KITCHENS! Their creations are absoluty divine! I was convinced to use their services simply by what they have on display. I thought we could buy what they were showing, bring it home and put it in, but then we talked to Debbie... OMG what an experience! She came to our house, measured the space, and asked us what features we wanted to put in our own kitchen, then drew it all out on paper. The price of the quote she was able to provide us was very comparable to what other companies are offering even though this kitchen is all hand made, but it was also soooo much more - begining with the fact that it was built out of solid wood instead of pressboard or melamine. Add to that the many features built into it, which puts this kitchen way over and above what anyone else is offering! This kitchen MAKES the house! Put it this way: where most kitchen design companies and box store cabinet providers charge for any improvements over the shape of your boxy cabinets, the Amish store will build cupboards that fit in your kitchen, and will include so called upgrades such as that little shelf below the sink to hold rubber gloves, sponges, and your jewellery while you wash dishes; a spice drawer with shelves in it; pot drawers; recycling containers; up and down slats to hold your bakeware; and a roll-out cutting board and anything else you can think of. If you are considering kitchen designs - whether to upgrade your current kitchen, or for a new home build - I strongly urge you to compare with what the Amish Store has to offer. And PS: If by chance you have NOT heard of them, I strongly suggest you make a trip out to see them - even if you're not looking for a kitchen or furniture! Balderson is an enjoyable drive out in the country. Why not make a day of it? Take in the cheese shop, grab a bite to eat in the cafe, or go to the local tea room. Shop for souvenirs across the street. And let us know what you think of it!!

Last spring, I sent an e-mail through the store's "contact us" with an inquiry and received no reply. So, in the summer, I drove to Balderson and spoke with a sales person who, at the time, was unable to give me a price on the table and chairs that I wished to order. She took my name and e-mail address in order to send the information to me. Well, I have never received an e-mail or telephone call. I am surprised by the lack of respect for a potential customer. I had planned to buy multiple rooms of furniture but given the lack of respect I have been shown, I won't be returning. I'll take my business to a store which shows some respect for its customers.

I've been to King's Crossing Fashion Outlets a few times now. It's not really an outlet mall,…read moresince a lot of the stores are just regular stores selling the latest season at the same prices as at a regular mall. The layout is like an outlet mall in that it's a plaza and you have to go outside to go from store to store (it's not an enclosed shopping mall). The majority of the stores are also not all that interesting to me, but hey I shop everywhere just in case there is some really cool thing just waiting to be discovered, lol. They have lots of athletic stores like Adidas, Puma, Columbia, Reebok and Bench. They have women's fashions (stores I generally like, but the prices are not cheaper than at their retail stores): Laura, Melanie Lyne, Ricki's, and La Vie en Rose. They have unisex fashions: Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's and Roots. They have other stores like Carter's/Osh Kosh, George Richards Big and Tall, Stokes, Paderno and Magnotta Winery. The only store that is truly an outlet is the Designer Fashion Exchange, which is an outlet for TanJay, ALIA and Nygard. It is huge, so if you like these brands, you will likely find some good deals. When I was there last, they had clearance items 5 for $25, and black dress pants for $3.99. There's lots of free parking and it's conveniently located right off the 401. If you go to King's Crossing and are hungry, I recommend eating at Fardella's. It's great. I wrote a separate review for it :)

Customer service in the Designer Fashion Exchange store was non existent. Stokes was having a liquidation sales so their days may be numbered. Definitely a passing by and stop type place as opposed to a destination. Lots of food choices nearby, Panera, Swiss Chalet and Boston Pizza to name a few..

There are a few new shops in there, like the Rossy store, a no-name grocers, Bulk Barn, Dollarama, Bell, and a Stacked Pancake House. For the record, there used to be a movie theatre here (Galaxy), but that closed, and it's been torn down :-( We only got there once. Movies are different now adays, when we all have big screen tvs and can make our own popcorn. Incidentally, the Shopper's drug store that's here is bigger, and has a better selection than the SDM downtown on King Street. The Rossy's is a Canadian department store (a chain, out of Montreal). We seem to be in there every week! Great service and good prices. I often get yarn there, but you can get clothes, and furniture, among other things. I will definitely be back to this mall.

Other stores included Ardene, Coles, Bentley, some stores I've never heard of before and some cell phone providers. In terms of fashions the stores were Pennington, Alia N Tanjay, and Northern Reflections. So not exactly a fashionista's dream. The food court has 3 options: deli sandwiches, Chinese food, and fish and chips. The end of the mall away from Sears was particularly sad as it had mostly vacant units. No hidden gems here, folks (at least not in my opinion). What you see is what you get, it's just a small-town mall.
