One thing to note: Google gave their address as somewhere on the Main Street right in Smiths Falls, but they've moved to highway 15, south. They're in a Quonset hut, with not much else around them. They also sell sheepskin rugs and blankets, good quality leather belts, cowboy hats, and so much more! There's a tackle shop in the back that's even bigger, which caters to horse lovers, offering saddles, bells on a leather strap, and other hardware. It's an interesting array. What has changed is the wool shop; the person running it before dwindled it down in preparation for retiring. However, the public's interest in knitting has not dwindled! Thankfully, someone took over the management of the yarn shop within this store and expanded it greatly.! They now offer a good selection of Briggs & Little wool, a LOT of different sock yarns, roving in different colours, and needles. There might have been some acrylic, and there definitely was some cotton. I've been looking for enough denim blue wool to make a sweater for myself, and have not been able to find enough yarn elsewhere to achieve this. I did find it here (barely, to be honest!) I've got no excuse, now! I must knit!! Lucky for me there's bad weather on the way; plenty of time to get to it. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The yarn was a good price. And I found a belt that fit! It was a good day. It was worth the drive to Carleton Place!!

The Long Version: I do enjoy poking around dollar stores in small towns because they tend to have cool and different stuff than in the big cities. The trade off is that they tend to be smaller and dingier. This dollar store was just that. Lots of products I haven't seen. I wasn't looking for anything in particular and didn't buy anything, but enjoyed poking around. I did see some small bags of mini strawberry Oreos, which looked interesting, but I didn't get them. This location has a clearance aisle (aisle 10) where all items are half-price. The staff were very pleasant and greeted us upon entry and thanked us upon departure. The entrance of the store is on Kippen and not Wilson, even though the Wilson side has the Dollar World signage and the Kippen side has no signage. Review #41 (2025)

It's a huge shop - bigger than it looks from the outside, with three or four floors. They sell men and women's clothing, shoes, furniture, dish ware, appliances, and decor. I they are open 9:00-5:00 every day. I wandered around for half an hour, but didn't see it all. The staff was friendly and helpful without being all over you. There's even a restaurant in this shop! The prices seemed reasonable, from what I saw. This place is worth another visit, but I will bring my hubby, and spend more time there.

Had to run 4 speaker wires from controller in unfinished basement to the kitchen, which was being renovated and installer told he could cut holes anywhere as needed. Young inexperienced wire puller could not tell me best locations for speakers and ran into issues, so called in Supervisor, who I nearly kicked out of my home for being so rude as I messed up his schedule and he was told the ceiling was open. So we go things wired and when ceiling was repaired 2 gents came in to install the gear. They left a couple of greasy thumb prints on my new ceiling, and didn't have the proper tool to full cut out one speaker hole, which which my contractor completed. I don't begrudge folks making money, but for the few hours of installation effort, I paid just under $1,000 for a simple, non-complex job. And SAV does not take a cut of that I'm told, so contractors are being paid crazy amounts. Should have negotiated this on a per hour basis, perhaps you can.....

One room is set up with a sample of a family entertainment centre, complete with easy-boy chairs, and looks just like what you'd want the movies to be - so comfortable. One set of seats even rumbles and shakes when the movie is showing a bumpy road! Ok, maybe this is a bit over the top for most of us, me included! But can you imagine watching the Olympics here?!! They do sell stereo equipment, but I think their TV selection is their big movers and shakers. Very impressive! I bought a gift certificate there. Very convenient!
