A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I decided that for our annual boardgaming weekend near here we would order groceries online from the comfort of our homes (hours away) and pick them up here instead of buying them far away and driving then up to the cabin. I researched online and found Walmart had a 3-week window for grocery orders (you couldn't order them farther out than that). Since I didn't need them in 3 weeks, I put together an order online and picked the farthest out date. I basically wanted to see what they had, how the process worked, etc. The website had trouble finding this store, so I had to call them up and confirm their address. Still problems, so I moved on to selecting groceries. Finding most things I wanted online was easy, though some items were out of stock (2L bottles of Pepsi? Walmart brand cookies? Zucchini? Are you kidding me?) and I found that odd. Ordering large packs of meat was problematic as you could put in the cart a package of chicken weighing between 2.75 - 4 pounds, but it wouldn't tell you the weight. And knowing how much it weighed is a big problem when ordering it to feed 8 guys, so I decided that when we picked up the groceries we would just need to check. All in all, though, it went well. Fast forward three weeks and I was ready to place it "for real" (I was now within the 3-week window of my trip). But I couldn't adjust the pick up date anymore. I tried everything, but no good. So, I called Walmart IT and they were clueless too. They had to call their IT staff and put us into a 3-way call (that ended up taking 45 minutes total) and it turns out Walmart has changed their site and process in the past 3 weeks. My old order cannot be cancelled, but I cannot use it for pick-up either. I needed to place a new order. Their window is now only 1 week instead of 3 weeks, and lots more items are out of stock. So, we made a new order and I got ready to submit it but held off for a day. The next day, it was gone... and only my old order was left. I had to do it all over again. I just don't understand how this system is supposed to be more convenient then going into the store to shop. I am stuck with an old order (of 70+ items) that won't go out of my shopping cart and the IT can't cancel it. I just have to wait and perhaps it will disappear. My new order isn't saving because I already have something in my "shopping cart" (my old order). And the old order cannot be processed because it was started under the old version of the website. GRRR!

I was visiting Tupper lake on vacation and had forgotten my levothyroxine - my dr called in a…read moreprescription for me and when I went to pick it up, they mentioned it had gone through my insurance - I have medical insurance but not prescription drug ins, so I told them I didn't have prescription coverage - but the price was $10 and I said that's the normal price anyway so all was well - I then said I know Walmart has a 90 day supply for $10 and the older male pharmacist yelled this isn't Walmart!! - I told him I knew that, I was simply saying that Levothyroxine isn't expensive anyway so it's fine - so he then says Do you want it or not - and I said yes I needed it and you really don't need to be rude to me - I was simply saying it was fine So then the woman waiting on me was rude about answering questions in her screen and signing when her screen was being slow - Then before I left the male pharmacist said nicely to me, because he probably realized what an ass he was, Robin, you do have blue cross blue shield and I looked at him and told him that is correct, I do have them, but I do not have prescription coverage and I thanked him for obviously knowing my insurance when he doesn't know me - and I walked away and said he was an arrogant ass - I told them in the front that their pharmacist was an arrogant ass as well and they asked me which one and I told them the man. It's clear the sale of this Winchester Ontario pharmacy to its current owners did not service the…read morecommunity well. It's an awful thing to say, but I can no longer trust this pharmacy. Everything from blatantly ignoring the wishes of the customer, to incorrectly filling of prescriptions. There has also been a number of times where an attempt to overcharge me was made. I still don't know whether or not this was an attempt to get paid twice for the same prescription or it was just a mistake, but given the recent track history I wouldn't rule anything out. Then there's the issue of their new computer system. Lost, and mismatched prescriptions as well as missing critical special instructions for different customers had become the norm for some time. The now tenuous relationship between this Pharmacy and its customers is not reflective of the entire staff. In fact, had it not been for a tiny core group of truly professional pharmacists, assistants and others, I believe the doors of this business would have been closed by now. I take no pleasure in composing this review. However given the number of times our concerns have fallen on the deaf ears of the current owner this may be the only forum that can contribute to restoring a community's trust in what was once a proud cornerstone on this community.

It's great to see familiar faces when I'm looking for something in the store or when I need over-the-counter advice. It seems like the owners are never too busy to help, and it's one of the few downtown stores with ample parking in the large lot with easy access onto the Main or side street. This pharmacy has been a valuable asset to the community!
