I dug on and came up with a new set of lightweight pants with an over shirt designed by the gap and a beautiful, pale sage green color, which looked very restful. I thumbed through the offerings and also found a comfy cozy sweater jacket made of a soft fleece for those times when the heater just isn't enough. I headed for checkout, and on the way, found sunscreen, perfect for enjoying the rest of my stay in Palm Springs. Good value is always to be found here as well as some of the fresh looks in the market.

PS HomeBoys had always been on my radar and the moment I walked in I understood why. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. The showroom feels like the perfect expression of the Palm Springs design spirit. It is bright, colorful, creative, and unapologetically mid-century modern while still feeling fresh and current. The shop was founded by interior designer Jeremy Taylor together with his partner Niels Kosman, and you can really feel that designer's eye throughout the space. Every piece feels intentional, from the furniture and lighting to the artwork and wallpaper. Nothing feels random or mass-produced. It feels curated. Palm Springs has such a strong design identity and PS HomeBoys captures it perfectly. Walking through the store feels like stepping into the kind of home you see in the iconic desert architecture that made this city famous. It is easy to imagine how these pieces would work in a stylish desert home or even a vacation rental, which makes sense because they also help stage and design homes around the area. For anyone who appreciates great interior design, mid-century style, or just wants to browse something different from the usual furniture stores, this place is absolutely worth visiting. Customer service was nice, the cashiers greeted everyone who came in and as I browsed I could hear them talking and laughing with the customers who were ready to make their purchases . The other employees were hanging up clothes or just keeping the store tidy in general. The selection of clothes was nice, a few names brands, and everything reasonably priced and definitely gives me Ross vibes as far as the prices goes. Revivals is a fairly large thrift store that is in the elbow corner of the center it is in. On one side they have very art minded/stylish furniture and home furnishings, then they have paintings, lighting fixtures, and sporting goods in the back, books and CDs on the left wall and clothes in the middle. They have some designer clothes and other collectible items and those are in showcases in the front of the store. Everything is reasonably priced. The store is very well organized and spaced out. They carry mostly used items, but they do get random lots of new items donated to them. And hey, it is Palm Springs. Where else would you find a rack of jock straps for sale? Me? I looked at Comme des Garcones that were too big for my feet and passed on those. I exited with a couple of DVDs. I will find something else here next time I visit Palm Springs!
