Went with our friends after a nice Sunday brunch. It was sort of organized, in sections, but not exactly. Socks were in multiple places and the shoe section had shoes in the wrong box or just one shoe not a pair. I wanted to find a pair of HOKAs, which I did. I also got a cute pair of flamingo socks for my dad and another pair of SmartWool hiking socks that were marked $22 but rang up at $6. Nice! Definitely ask for the prices at check out. They had discounts on top of discounts, so a few of the SPF shirts that we bought were heavily discounted and a few we left at the store. Still, Going, Going, Gone is a nice place to hunt for a bargain in South Florida.

They had a van parked out front with someone soliciting donations for an unknown charity. I'm unsure how much business they assumed to do outside of a dollar store, but props to them for having the courage to stay any longer than I did. When I walked in, I was hit with the smell of what I assume was food going bad. I walked the entire store, even though I knew exactly what I was looking for, and it was upsetting. Having worked in both hospitality and retail, I would be ashamed to own, or even work at this establishment. The floors were dirty, the shelves were dirty and the inventory was a mess. They must be short-staffed, as they only had two cashiers working the registers, although one was hanging out in the back room (or excuse for a back room, it's only enclosed by it's walls, you could throw a baseball over the top). The young gentleman that rang me up was very nice, and wished me a Happy New Year. I would've offered him a job if it wasn't for the line of customers looking at me like I didn't belong there. All of the areas were clearly labeled and marked, which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. Personally I didn't buy anything there, but what I did see seemed to be priced very fairly and reasonably. Good option for those on a budget or those looking for items without paying retail pricing. I am very, very impressed by this Flea Market. In fact, calling it one doesn't give it the prestige…read morethat it deserves. Now, by prestige, I do NOT mean classiness, but simply respect. Read on and I will explain. The flea market looks like an old mega-department store that went out of business and was then bought and maintained by the people. This is exactly what I found inside: nail boutiques, salons, cell phone providers, bubble tea shops, korean cafes, etc. Each independently-owned and maintained. Essentially, this is a free-for-all! I came in with a limited budget in terms of time and money, but ended up with a full belly and a worthwhile purchase: a $6 dollar hot wing tray from a korean family-owned cafe and a $5 pair of sunglasses. $11 dollars total = VICTORY! Come in and be prepared to spend some serious time here. Enjoy!
