Good prices but selling expired food. Also being 32 weeks pregnant I tend to have to use the bathroom really anywhere I go. The bathroom here is the most disgusting I have ever seen. Looked like there was poop smeared on the wall. No toilet paper in either stall. Toilets would not flush. Huge open hole in the wall and just pure disgusting. **PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW** I visited this morning for it's…read moregrand opening (Bleecker St Utica, NY) and was disappointed before I got in the door as I was brushed aside BY an employee in a suit, a higher up no doubt, which makes it worse(though to be fair it was a madhouse). There were a couple of less than desirable encounters with employees BUT after saying so when asked about my experience, the manager more than made up for it. There were in fact many awesome employees, don't take away a negative outcome from this review, please. I'm sure after the dust settles they will no doubt weed out those who don't measure up, so after being shown that I DO in fact matter, I will definitely shop there again, and often. Decent, or even great, prices are only half of a shopping experience, the other is customer service. And when I voiced that mine was one that may cause me to not return, two employees and two managers came to change that, and they for sure did.

When we walked in the store, it was clean and well organized which is not the case for some of the other Family Dollar locations we have been to. The store itself was filled to the max with great items and the prices were great. The employee at the check out counter was pleasant and informative. Overall, this was a great store!
