They cut off any resemblance of whats inside.. well today as we were scavenging and yes, yes I did pull a few boxes open.. I didn't open them but was reprimanded for it. Not one time did she have a conversation with me and to be honest, I was putting things back together and in the right box but I digress. The bins are gross. You have to take your "chances" with any box. They have an opening station only after you have bought and paid for the item. Also more money grabs when you use a card regardless if it's debit or credit. Go a few miles south to Brothers. They are honest, up front and genuine. I would not recommend anyone go here and just head south to Brothers.

I've been in retail so I know all about customers leaving carts, not picking up something they dropped, walking over merchandise or setting things down wherever. It's frustrating and I give credit to anyone working here because it's not as easy as it appears. The cashier at checkout was super friendly and that makes a huge difference because it's your last interaction as you leave the store. But anyways, since they have a little bit of everything and a lot of clothes, chances are you'll find something you want or need or didn't think you needed until you saw it. I normally go the Dollar Tree in Troy (in the Walmart plaza) but I was on my way to Panera to pick up curbside, and this was the only dollar store in that area. It had kind of an old/funky smell inside. I saw they had cards through the window, so that was encouraging, but their Halloween selection is pretty limited; they maybe had like 10 different card designs to choose from, but 7-8 of those were for little kids (grandkids, children, etc). I ended up buying five for family and friends, and good thing I did because they have a $5 minimum limit for credit cards. The final reason I'm giving them 3 stars: the cashier was not wearing a mask. The man next to him beside the counter was, FWIW. He had a very thin layer of plastic sheeting between me and him, so I'm guessing that's why he thought it was fine ... however, I'm "high risk," so I definitely wiped off my credit card with a wipe when I got back to my car. I wouldn't stop by here again, I will just go to Dollar Tree next time. But they do have a lot of cards (non-Halloween ones) if you need them.

I like eating at the restaurants that surround this Walmart and then I can pop in to Walmart to get a little something I might have been thinking about getting all week, i.e. dish soap, a magazine, socks, etc... In terms of cleanliness it can be hit or miss but today on this very busy Saturday afternoon I found the isles to be pretty clean and clear. I mainly came to this place seeking out geodes and crystals. I did see a lot of nice clothing on sale as well, but I did not have the patience to look through them. I was impressed to find loads of Amethyst crystas in different shapes and sizes. They were relatively cheap. They were for the most part really great quality. Sadly, there were some pieces that looked as if they were cracked or dropped, damaging the crystal. However, at the front they do offer a percentage off for that. I found a piece with a chip near the top corner and they gave me a small discount. They had a few other crystals and I was impressed to see how many they had in comparison to other stores I have visited. They even had soap stone animals, particularly a large elephany for only $20. I think the prices were fair and cheaper than most stores I frequent at that sell crystals. The line seemed daunting, but it actually moved really fast. Usually I am in line for about 20-30 minutes.
