Like cell phone accessories brand LeYi. I never knew this brand until I bought a cell phone case from Amazon. They got unique design and functionality. Yesterday July 31 was their first day. I arrived around 3 pm. They were busy unloading and setting up the shop. There were few customers. Employees greeted everyone as we came in. Prices are still handwritten on the crates. I saw $1, $2, $3, $4, $5... But I saw nice stuff in the crates. Oh, they take cash and credit cards. I wasn't planning to stay long because I could overspend for trinkets. Some items can become customized gifts for businesses. I'll be back when we can safely meet in person. I came in yesterday to purchase some 15 lb kettlebells, a resistance band, and a back scratcher…read more The store was extremely small and cramped including there was a plethora of kids with their parents just standing in the middle of the aisle. So many teenagers flocked this place yelling and giggling very loudly while in the store with their friends. The store is full wall to wall with inventory. I walked over to the kettlebells and the only size they had was 10 lb. They had a bunch of dumbbells. I got the resistance band. I noticed a rug that I liked, but it was too high to reach it. As I stood there admiring the item, another lady inched up beside me waiting for me to move and got closer and closer as if she didn't even know what personal space means. No staff member in sight. I ended up realizing the rug wasn't even worth locating an employee for. As I tried to leave the area, I was blocked in by the same lady and another older one. I managed to ditch the basket and wiggled my way passed these two ladies. Spent some time searching high and low for a back scratcher. I found a scalp scratcher, but nothing for the back. I spotted a graphic T-shirt that I liked that read, "immediately no" (as it's one of my favorite sayings). I went to search for it in the most cluttered and unorganized rack of clothing. It was displayed above, but I didn't find it. Instead I found multiple of 90s inspired shirts featuring Aaliyah, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, and other sarcastic saying shirts. Another disappointment. At this point, I went to check at. In the checkout line, more customers blocked the entry to pay. Gosh, this really can't get any worse can it? Oh, it can, the checkout lines are self service. I accidentally said that I could pay with my card, but had forgotten that I locked it. Another thing I noticed was that the kiosks are so close together to the next person that if you're not paying attention you can easily have your card numbers stolen from you. Again, this store has NO space to do anything! The balance of the resistance band was $7. I remembered I had cash. I asked the older cashier if this kiosk takes cash. She said no and told me to wait as she helped the older lady ring up her items. Then this other chick rolls up to cancel the order out and redirects me to another machine. I asked this younger cashier, "do y'all sell bsckstratchers?", she said no. As I get to the checkout kiosk, the area was again cluttered with people and their unruly kid. As I paid for the item with cash, a hillbilly kid takes my money from the kiosk and refused to give it back. Her mom watched on and thankfully reprimanded the rugrat. Awful experience. I would have thought this location would have been much better since it's so close to the Woodlands, but nope it was so ghetto. Plus, they didn't have much of anything I was looking for.

The value at Ollie's is great. We didn't have a ton of time to shop but we nabbed an A&M garden flag for $6.99 and a big bag of Brownie Brittle for $5.99. (Now I will note that we have been "burned" by food at Ollie's in the past -not this particular location- when we bought some mint patties which were infested with bugs. So yes we are "nervous" buying food here but I think that if they are well packaged, that shouldn't normally be a problem.) Now for the service. Wow. Aimee was our cashier and was FABULOUS. She was so friendly and helpful. She got us signed up for Ollie's rewards and explained everything so thoroughly. I honestly don't know why we didn't sign up before. It's not like we shop here much but the points don't expire so we should have done it sooner. Thankfully this wonderful employee was able to get us signed up. Wasn't expecting such great service here. Outstanding.

Today was my mom and I first time visiting an Ollie's store. We had a great time, at first. The…read morestore was clean, organized and there was a great selection of books. The problem came when it was time to check out. The guy on the first register from the checkout line to the left around 1:45pm on December 24, 2024 is the reason I am leaving this review. My mom and I were next in line to checkout and the other registers were occupied by other customers alsobchecking out. When the young cashier guy finished ringing up his customer instead of checking us out next, he walks off and pretends to busy himself with something which was very obvious he didn't want to ring up anyone BUT when the next register opened up and my mom and I walked to the next cashier he immediately went back to his register to take the next customer behind us. At that moment it was extremely clear he didn't not want to ring us up for whatever reason but that was extremely rude! I don't want to say race was a part of it but I can't think of any other reason he choose to intentionally not ring us up when we had the same amount of items the customer he helped before and after us had. This really messed up our first time experience at Ollies. The cashier lady to the right side we ended up going to was very nice and signed my mom up for the Ollies Army rewards. After we left I called and spoke to the manager, I think his name is Mike or Michael. I explained what just took place and he was very nice and said he will run the cameras back and also notify upper management. We appreciate him for hearing our concern and not dismissing us. Hopefully the cashier takes a customer service course or finds a new job where he free to be rude else where. This was very upsetting to be treated the way we were and it being obvious in plain sight. Hopefully a real consequence for the young boy comes out of it.
