Okay - so fasten your seatbelts. I've been in this store probably 10 times in the last two years. Why? Because they have some okay items and seasonal merchandise. Mostly I go for my kids as a reward for good behavior; they love to go to the toy aisle and pick out a couple of items. I was finally going to do a review and wanted some pictures for Yelp, so I snapped a couple of shots. No sooner than I had finished when a young plump red headed female (no name tag or it would be listed here) ran up to me, reared up and spit a venomous "Can I help you with something?!!!". There was no mistaking the tone - it was gruff, it was rude, it was confrontational - she had no intention of really helping me with anything but was basically attacking me for taking photos of the interior of the store. I politely and calmly said "No thank you." Had one of my kids and mom been there, I probably would have gone into defensive mode. She walked away just as quickly as she shot over. I am assuming she was a manager, as she felt it was her duty to berate me, and she was building merchandise displays. Wow, such awesome customer service (sarcasm alert). In a day and age where social media is king, people snap pictures left and right for all sorts of reasons. Unless this particular employee is responsible for setting Dollar Tree corporate policy, she is poorly representing their company. So corporate headquarters, if you're reading this, you might want to have a little chat about customer service with your "overzealous" employees. There are at least 8 other dollar stores in town I will be taking my business to in the future. So long Dollar Tree! read more
