I saw an influencer review this Goodwill so I was excited to try it. We drove 2 hours to get there! It is definitely huge--the old Lidl stores are such a nice space! I can't say it was particularly clean. The bathroom was kind of icky. No one had cleaned up towels off the floor, toilet paper wadded up on the floor next to the toilet, etc. Granted, we were there at 5 pm, so there had probably been a Saturday rush tearing the place up, but employees should do a better job of tidying up. Maybe there aren't enough on a shift, idk. The inventory was definitely picked over and it honestly looked like somebody just dumped a bucket of junk out across some of the shelves. We walked out empty-handed. I didn't even look at the clothes because they were grouped by color and type, not size. Who wants to look at a whole rack of black shirts to try to find their size? It's not that hard to organize by size, really. It's not worth making it a day trip, despite what that influencer said. The nicest Goodwill I've ever been to! Wow! They even have a cafe with a legit barista. And this isn't in Atlanta! Ok let's address one other review. The prices are the same at every Goodwill so calling them out for the prices seems silly. Especially when you get an Under Armor hoody for a fraction of what they would cost new. The store is great with plenty of space to move around and it's such a nice building that sometimes you forget you're at a Goodwill. They have a huge electronics section with a bunch of good used monitors and stacks of video games. The clothing is the major player of course and as always it's organized by color?!? Why Goodwill?!? Why! I know it's easy for the employees to rack them but I don't got shopping usually to find a specific color. But I guess it keeps people in the store longer as they would have to go through every single shirt to find the right size. The staff at checkout were more polite than usual and I appreciate that more than most. Usually at most retailers it seems like you're an inconvenience more than a customer. Heck most don't even stop their conversation with their colleagues to acknowledge you! Great shopping experience here in Shelby. We will be back every time we are in town! read more

I remember coming to goodwill years ago when my parents lived here we would come and shop and always bound to find something you couldn't live without. The past few years Goodwill has raised their prices almost to the point of being ridiculous. Items that are new and donated they try to get close to the price it would have been in a store. School paper you can get at a dollar store priced here for more than its worth its getting stupid. So many cheaper discount stores like the one we shopped at after here has better prices for brand new clothes and other items. Not a fan of goodwill anymore. They use to run specials daily , they don't even do that anymore. Used shoes they get $5.99 for!! I am not crazy about one price structure either. I've seen things I would not pay a dime for. Seriously who is pricing this stuff? They aren't thinking. People are wiser to how they spend their money. I had a lady walk by and said " these prices are ridiculous, if they lowered the price on some of this stuff I'd buy more" I told her I agreed. It will be awhile before stopping here or any goodwill, the only reason was for my Mom or I wouldn't have. read more

Stopped here and left almost immediately. Very crowded, lines at checkout, and far too many unmasked people. It did not feel safe. If they aren't enforcing the mask mandate, they should post a sign saying so. read more

We scan this store every couple of weeks. The store is probably best for kid's clothes and toys. Good for outdoor toys and board games. The store is clean and well organized. DVD's and paperbacks are cheap. There's a display case up front where they keep "the good stuff". Every now and then you can find an item that is Ebay worthy. read more
