I'm super disappointed in my experience with Brides n Belle's. I had ordered my grad dress back in…read more2011 and was very happy with how things went but for my wedding dress not at all. I bought my dress pre covid19 but was waiting to have it altered. They don't do returns/refunds of dresses even in covid19 times which is pretty disappointing. So I had to go ahead with attempting to get my dress fitted. They had previously done a fitting so the size shouldn't have been too d Oh how wrong I was. I emailed the shop to have the dress picked up and was charged $150 for said "alterations". Well it did not fit at all. They let the dress out everywhere except the back zipper where it needed it. The stitching beside the zipper was messy and loose, like the sewing machine wasn't properly adjusted. I contacted them and they said they would try to fix it. No apology/forexplation for the messy stitching. I assumed this would be free of charge since it wasn't right and you'd want to make it right. Oh no. They wanted to charge me another $40 for the zipper. The email had initially said the cups would be covered but the owner changed her mind after I raised some questions and apparently upset her via email. My mother dropped the dress off and was told by an employee that the dress measurements were scribbled on a sticky note so that's likely why it didn't fit. Upon raising this with the owner she said that it was very insulting that I had said this... Even though her employee was the one who had said it. So against my better judgement I allowed her to try to make it right. I picked up the dress and was again disappointed. The messy stichwork was fixed but the bodice was loose where they took it out too much and the zipper clasp was too far apart and I still couldn't clasp it. The $50 cups are flints white pieces that flip around because they are only stitched at each side and not actually sewed onto the dress. I will have to have a different seamstress fix it. The dresses might be pretty but they do not work with any decorum. I would recommend going anywhere else but here.

I would NOT recommend Brides N Belles. I purchased my dress from them, during the trying on of…read moredresses, their staff was very helpful and kind, however once the dress was purchased the customer service took a drastic nose dive. When ordered, I was told the dress would arrive on May and alterations would be no more than $400. The dress did not arrive until July (one month before our wedding) and I had to keep following up to see when it would arrive. Once the dress arrived I believe they intentionally ordered it 1-2 sizes too small. I lost weight since the order and even then, the dress needed to be let out. The alterations were a whole new story. In summary, the dress did not properly fit - I couldn't walk without having to lift my dress because it was too long, and the straps continued to slip off during the whole day. I had numerous fittings, one where the dress hadn't even been touched from the previous - which was a large waste of time to drive an hour into Saskatoon to try on a dress with no changes and an hour back home. Because of the basic tulle skirt, they cut it within 30 seconds while I was in the dress. Doing some sewing myself, I thought they left it longer so they could bring it up some more to do a base-stitch, starch and press the bottom; but not so, the dress was too long and was told those alterations were $400 for a 30 second scissor job. As for the straps, I was told they would add clear sticky inserts so they would slip, this did not happen and I was constantly fighting with the straps. The dress wasn't able to be picked up until 5:30 pm the night before the wedding, and because we were already doing our rehearsal, I wasn't able to try it on and my auntie had to wait over an hour until they finished it and she could bring it to us. It was the day after the wedding that I learnt the alterations were over $1,000!!!! They said they gave a "discount", and brought the bill down to just over $886. A far cry from the "no more than $400" quote they provided. When myself and my mother called to ask about this, they were extremely rude and would not talk. Debbie, the owner, even slammed the door in my mom's face when she went in to speak with them. In my conversations with Debbie, I told her it was her obligation as a business owner to consult brides of alterations prices as they increase, as this is hopefully a one time purchase and a process they are unfamiliar with but she was extremely unreceptive of this feedback. I am convinced they scam brides but ordering in dresses smaller, and charging an outrageous amount for alterations. I also bought an affordable dress that was $1,100 and didn't have bridesmaids or a veil, so I think Debbie saw the opportunity to gouge to try to make a larger profit. I would NOT recommend Brides N Belles, unless you enjoy being scammed and having to pay for it, and end up with alterations that are not complete.

I tried to like them... really I did. I'm redoing my house and want several pieces of furniture. I…read morelooked at a very expensive table. it was on sale plus no tax. I also looked at some ornaments... I was told they were on the same sale and with no tax. During the sale, I visited the table a few times to be sure (it's a big investment). It didn't have enough seating so I asked about pricing to change that. The salesperson used tactics like "price doesn't matter you deserve it". I was also told it was the last day of the sale and my last chance for that discount. The sales tactic kind of put me off and I didn't do it. The next day I was on their road and saw the same furniture was on sale for an even BIGGER discount than the day before. Did the salesperson honestly not know that when she was pushing the sale? It certainly made me think customer service means nothing, it made me feel like their tactic was "how much can I get out of their pocket?" Fast forward to the ornament. Shortly thereafter, I saw a 50% off sale and decided to see if the ornament was part of it. I was disappointed, it was on sale for an even smaller discount than the previous sale. I guess every store says there is a big sale then changes it in fine print so the 50% part wasn't surprising. The salesperson said that I'd still get a smaller sale price and the no tax discount. I thought about that and went back for it on the last day of that sale. When we get back to the store the item's price was significantly increased. So, I asked why the original price was suddenly so much higher. I was told it was ALWAYS that price! They didn't expect that I had taken a picture that showed the price tag. Even then it was dismissed, then I was told it was a different lot. Then they decided to honour the price. Great! discount and no tax, I'm ready. I then got, "we NEVER have a tax discount on these items" (keep in mind I was already told there was one AND the sign outside said no tax). So, it was left behind. I didn't get it. Fast forward again (yep, I'm a sucker for punishment), there is a new sale sign for 20% off. My birthday was coming up I thought what the heck I'll bite and pay the tax, but guess what? The price was significantly increased again! When we asked for the price that it was lowered to just a few days earlier (same ornament, same spot, etc), we were told there would be no discount... The reason you ask? First, "it's a new lot", new price (yet in the same spot with same everything on it only a few days later). THEN we were told, "because you looked at it several times...no discount this is the price". Because I looked at it before? Really? THAT last line is why this short novel is before you today. So, are you saying that if you think you can get money out of the people who would love to support local businesses, you will and you pick and choose what price goes to what customer? And why are you so unapologetic about it? Your furniture is nice, but it's also nice at least 3 other stores in Saskatoon (one of which I found my beautiful table). I guess when I start the living room, I know where I'm NOT going. I certainly have a few examples that will support that. I feel bad leaving bad reviews, and my hackles are rarely up enough to do so, especially over something a person doesn't really need, but it's more symbolic at this point. I don't think being unapologetic is the best route because people won't die without anything you sell. I doubt there are as many people who don't keep track of their money as there used to be. Take my experience as you will.
