I needed patriotic balloons for the 4th of July weekend. I called to check on the availability and Cindy was so helpful and pleasant. She located exactly what I needed and placed it on hold for me. I arrived at about 8pm and she had everything ready for me. In person she was just as pleasant and friendly. This young lady should be their employee of the month. Superstar job Cindy. Melinda or Milinea whatever her name is (she needs a new name tag because it is barely readable), was very rude. I came in toward closing time at about 8:45 and I had a bag with some things I wanted to exchange. She seems very irritated off the bat wnd you can tell in her body language and tone and says "You know you have to have the same amount of items you're exchanging for today and it all has to be done before we close in 10 minutes" I reply, "Yes." I try to explain to her that I have multiple receipts and each receipt I have is in its corresponding bag with the said items but she just cuts me off and says, "I have to count them anyway." I say, "Ok. Was just trying to make it easier on you." She then proceeds to tell me that I can exchange for anything in the store except food items because they are not taxable items? Which I've never heard of before. At the end of it all I was walking away because she wasn't saying anything so I figured I was done. She yells out for me to come back and sign something. She was rude. I understand it's the end of the night and you want to go home but she should not treat customers this way. I felt I was discriminated against because I am Mexican and Gay. Horrible customer service. Rude employees and when asked a question, they grunt to you. Worst experience I've ever encountered.

Went there and was greeted with rudeness by Melinda (Manager) she was extremely rude and unprofessional I have never had a issue at any other dollar tree and I felt like she was enjoying making me frustrated when I would ask a question she always responded with an attitude.. it's amazing they allow such horrible customer service continue... she should not be allowed to be a manager she obviously needs better training... never going back read more

Very nice store..clean..well stocked and smells good ..lots of bargains ..parking lot has just a very small portion of trash ..them we go the register ...I know its early in the day but the cashier ' Milinda' ( manager) well that is her name tag says.... i would give no stars if i could. i went in yesterday with my mom at 2:10pm to get balloons. there was only 1 person on register (gloria i believe). she had a line of about 9 people. i got in line and my mom stood in front of the balloons and asked if she can have someone assist her. the cashier called her manager out to help. she came out walking really show on her personal phone talk about god knows what. then opens a register instead of assisting my mom. then the manager yelled at my mom and told her she needs to get in line. my mom told her "my daughter is already in line". the manager then rolled her eyes at her signed. she finally helps my mom and said, "did you already check around the store for the balloons you want?" my mom told her yes we've check. she then starts on the balloons and tells the cashier to charge us. i told her i wanted to wait for the balloons to be done. she then tells gloria,"no i told you to ring them up." so gloria does. the manager gives me the balloons and rudely yells at me,"you're welcome!" thats when i had enough and told her, "thank you for your customer service." she then yells back," you're welcome." if i would have know it was such a hassle to get balloons i would of paid more money and gone to albertsons were they actually appreciate customers. the manager is white with blonde curly hair. avoid this place!!!!!!!! read more

As I began to purchase items I realized I was being given very rude looks by a cashier named Mariel and a male customer. I tried ignoring the ignorance but it was just too bold and disrespectful. I asked what was the problem and both of them began to laugh AT me. Then the male customer began to speak in a foreign language then both looked over at me and laughed while both rolled their eyes at me. I asked to speak to Mariel's supervisor, which she was pleased to call her over as if her behavior was acceptable. I have never seen Mariel there before because I was a frequent customer at this Dollar Tree. My experiences had been rather pleasant before. I asked was I being treated poorly because of my race but I never received an answer from Mariel or her male friend but they obviously found the question amusing. I say friend because it was obvious he was outside waiting for Mariel. Mariel and her male friend even acted disrespectfully in front of her supervisor. read more
