When checking out, the cashier seemed a little confused on my discounts but was eager to help and I also had a gentleman offer to help me out to the car with my items which was so helpful since I got a car seat and I am pregnant. Very appreciative of that gentleman! The other part of my review would be for the Starbucks! The customer service was excellent. I asked for a recommendation for an iced latte and told the girls what I was craving and they made me the yummiest latte! My daughter also enjoyed the egg bites as usual. Thanks girls!

Located inside the nearly abandoned Volusia County Mall Dillard's offers plenty of outside entrances with access to all (3) stores without entering the mall, the men's department is located on the backside of the mall and there's plenty of close parking. I swear if you removed the employee's vehicles you could've counted the rest of the cars on one hand on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. It's been forever since I've shopped in a brick and mortar department store with all the online options available but I needed to pick up a few items and was happy to see some great sale prices on clothing that wasn't only on sale racks, some with up to 65% off their original prices. It seemed most of the sale associates were eager to help anyone walking through their department, so it was definitely a unique personal shopping experience. It seems like these jobs are commissioned sales positions or maybe it's just to break the boredom of being employed here nonetheless I enjoyed my time here. The store was immaculate and there was plenty of inventory as you'd expect. I picked up (3) pairs of jeans, a pair of slacks and (4) four shirts all name brand for just under $500. I love online shopping but it was nice to actually touch and feel the merchandise. This experience probably won't change my preference when it comes to shopping but it's good to see this options is still available...

I was told I simply needed to meet the store managers and all would be good. I should have been more cautious as I came here and spent 2,000 in weekly hotels and ( now ) a roundtrip airfare back to Texas before they even had the decency to call me telling me the job went to someone else. After talking to Dwey, the store manager, I was given nothing but attitude and mockery for being upset. Since her texts were a bit more cautious than her phone conversations he mocked me and said anyone would pay that much to travel for a chance at an interview...are you kidding me?!?! Heartless and inconsiderate the both of them. Who does that to someone? Apparently Keti and Dewey at Dillard's Daytona Beach....no wonder that place and mall are dead with that kind of culture. After nearly an hour of walking around she finally made her decision on a Simply Southern T-Shirt. We went to the register for it shortly thereafter, at which time the Simply Southern T-Shirt rang up for 30% off. The attendant at the register then proceeded to say "All Simply Southern shirt's are 30%" off". My significant other was so excited that she went straight back to the area where she had just picked out the shirt that I was paying for. She did this before I could even complete the transaction. I finished paying for the item and told the attendant that I knew she couldn't wait to go find more shirts after finding out that they were all 30% off. We then took what felt like another eternity, (probably only 30 minutes in actuality) looking at all the simply southern shirts again. She then found a couple more she liked. We went back to the register now on the opposite side of the store as it was closer to where we were at the time of check out. The shirts did not ring up as 30% off. I explained to the cashier that we had just purchased this Simply Southern shirt and that it was 30% off, as stated at the time of sale by the cash register attendant, all Simply Southern Shirts are 30% off. Again, as stated by the Bealls employee, not just this single shirt, but ALL Simply Southern shirts were at that discounted price. And not only that, but this was a sale that was going on until Tuesday. These are not my own words, this is what I was told at the time of check out. I also provided the shirt we just purchased, as well as receipt for verification. My issue is this, the employee was simply stating something that she believed to be true. But the manager whom I dealt with (middle aged blonde lady) is not fit to be in any kind of management position! I have given this detailed explanation to show how poor this business is at considering the customer. I spent money to make my girlfriend happy. I made a purchase and then went back to buy more on the word that there was a sale stated by an employee, so that I could buy a few more shirts to make my girlfriend happy. Instead I'm standing at a cash register with a line forming behind me trying to explain the totality of the situation only to have what I presume is the manager looking at me like I'm stupid. I did not compete the purchase and walked out embarrassed. Prior to doing so I said to my girlfriend (Im sorry to let you down babe but I can't afford to buy these right now, I know you really wanted them.) Meanwhile the store manager is directly in front of me, a lengthy line of other customers are forming behind me and the sales associate is obviously waiting on what the manager is going to say. I was offered nothing, I gave my receipt of the shirt I just bought 30 minutes prior and explained the situation in absolute detail. The manager stated that the shirt I had purchased was on clearance, but no others were. Well then, why did the sales associate state that "All Simply Southern shirts are 30% off". Why then, after I just purchased an item would I return with said item in a bag and spend another eternity while my girlfriend found other Simply Southern shirt's she liked. They didn't bother to ask the other sales associate anything. I provided my receipt showing the item I just purchased. What could have been an easily rectified situation is now reflecting a poor review. Not only that, but I will no longer, nor my significant other shop here again. Good job Bealls, your neglect in customer service will undoubtedly affect the profitability of your business. Don't take my word for it, look at the other reviews. So thanks Bealls, you let down my significant other, and made me look like a bad person when I was trying to get my girlfriend a couple shirts and be nice. I'm sorry my finances are tight right now, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered and paid for whatever it was anyways. Please see the attached receipt as proof of my purchase, I'm not fabricating this. Please reference the date and time for further information as to the staff on duty at this time.
