Seasonal decor has always been one of my big draws here and they have this huge sale... I am not sure how many times a year but, it is on everything in the store. I purchased a wonderful pots and pan set here (the biggest one I could find - teflon, silicone handles, glass lids, red in color - and it has served me well for almost 4 years now). The furniture here is not Haverty's... That is why there is a Haverty's. This is on par with the big box stores like Target, Walmart and the dreaded Kmart. They have a decent company buyer because it is obvious that Big Lots is trying to stay atop the latest in thing E for effort there! In the store I met Sandy. She approached me and asked if I needed any assistance. I thanked her and said that it had been a while since I had visited this store, so I was simply browsing. When I reconnected with her later, I asked her about an item, she was kind enough to walk me to the location where it was shelved. How nice, right? Yes, that goes a long way with me. Thanks Sandy.

Big Lots is either hit or miss…read more This store has undergone a recent renovation and is much easier to sort though now. It tends to be cleaner than a lot of the other big lots locations and that's a huge plus in my book. I like that they're not always busy, so you don't have to fight with other people over things you might want to buy.

The first time I came here was last May, where I was shopping for clothing suitable (no pun intended) for my sister's wedding. They were patient, humorous, and very helpful to my family. The worker who helped me today, Anna, did a marvelous job in helping me...Especially since today was my first day shopping for formal clothing solo! She was very patient as well, made sure to take measurements, and was super accommodating and helpful when it came to selecting clothing that was both appropriate for the event I was attending and thy could fit me. She was also very knowledgeable in what clothing colors are appropriate for what occasion, and boy am I glad to have had her in my corner today. Thanks to her, I walked out a happy customer able to breathe a sigh of relief that I got what I needed! In general, I've come to find a lot of clothing to be of higher quality and variety than elsewhere in the mall. What really separates them from the rest is just how much the stores accommodates the bigger sizes, including me. Granted, they're rather pricey, but again it's not easy making clothing for people such as myself so I don't hold that against them. I know one thing; If I ever need clothing for special occasions, I'm coming straight to here!

I think that's an apt description. Apparently the Popshelf chain is owned by Dollar General. It feels like an elevated dollar store experience, except most items are more than $1. There was a little bit of everything-home goods, cosmetics, toys, cleaning supplies, arts & crafts, pet stuff, snacks, and more. It's one of those stores where you go because you have an idea of something you want to buy but nothing specific, so you just browse around and see what you can find. I can't imagine shopping here all the time, but I'll stop in from time to time to see what kind of goodies I might be able to find.
