Everything was staged neatly and items were easy to access. There were a good amount of staff members around the store. The checkout is mainly self out now (it seems they are encouraging customers to use a card when checking out as opposed to cash). I appreciated the abundance of self check out kiosks. The line moved quickly.

The one I got was only $7, and it actually works pretty well! The staff were also very nice and friendly. Most of the sections were well organized, but the stuffed animal section was a little confusing. I couldn't tell which items were $5 and which ones were more than $5. Some products are actually more than $5, so I wish the prices were a little lower. Overall, though, I'm happy with my purchase!

They also sell groceries such as canned foods, snacks, and beverages. My husband and I shopped in this Dollar General once time. I browsed in all of the departments. The shelves were fully stocked. Products were often name-brand, such as Sprite, Kellogg's, Febreze, Huggies, Campbell's, Tide, Sharpie, BiC, Dr. Scholl's, and Tampax. The prices ranged from low to overpriced. For example, 12-pack boxes of Coca-Cola were priced at 3 for $15, which is an excellent bargain. I really liked their aisle of products that cost only $1. However, the single cans of Fancy Feast Gravy Lover's wet cat food were priced at $1 each, which is higher than what other stores charge. You really must compare the prices.

My mom always always raved about Big Lots, but I often forgot about them…read more That will not happen again. Big Lots is awesome! They have so many different things at awesome cheap prices. Their furniture prices are insanely cheap and the couches and chairs are super comfortable! I am currently in the process of purchasing (still need to do some measurements) two book cases for my place.. $60 combined for both! That is literally unheard of. They have rugs, curtains, kitchen items, cleaning products and even food. Most recently I visited Big Lots and picked up "Back to Nature" brand fudge striped cookies.. a box of these runs about $4-5 in other grocery stores, including Giant Eagle and Whole Foods. What did I pay at Big Lots? $1.25 a box! An awesome deal! They have tons of granola, cereal, canned goods and even a decent selection of gluten free foods! They are also adding coolers/freezers to this Big Lots and I am super excited! Big Lots has everything. Go there before you go to any other store- there is a good chance they will have what you need and it will be a lot cheaper than the other places!

This is yet another Laurie's store I had visited this year and last year when we are looking to buy ornaments using the Hallmark coupons that Hallmark posts on their national website. We visited this store both Saturday and Sunday to use the coupons during separate visits and we were looked after by this stores friendly staff.

This is a well-stocked store as far as cards go (I don't really buy ornaments or collectibles, but…read morethe displays always look nice) and the employees are always very friendly and helpful. I've found lots of very specific cards here (medical school graduation, pet get well soon) and they frequently send out coupons from their rewards program.

I found dresses that I liked, and then I felt disappointed that the size was in the wrong section of the rack. I thought that the prices for clothing ranged from being a bargain to still being a bit expensive (e.g., $80 for a jacket). I found a pair of name-brand casual pants to buy. The comparable price was $20, and they were marked down to $15. I waited in line for a couple of minutes before a cashier called me over to her register. She made friendly conversation and accurately rang up my purchase. I tried the pants on at home, and they fit.

She found some hair products as well as some lotions and facial products, but not everything that she was looking for. Her boyfriend wanted to purchase something that was damaged and asked if they would lower the price and they said, no. That's makes no sense to me but okay. I've been here a bunch of times since it has opened and it never really disappoints. I didn't buy anything the day we visited but I did enjoy looking around for something to buy.
