I went in to get makeup and discovered an older female employee with a 5-foot-wide trolley, blocking the cosmetic section. I told her it was in my way and asked if she could move it. She ignored me. I asked again, and she said "no. I am stocking the shelves. You will have to wait." Shocked, I let her know there were things I needed that were blocked by the trolley. She bizarrely smiled at me and said, "I'm stocking the shelves, and you'll have to wait." Me: "Why can't you just move this out of the way for a minute? I want to see if I can find what I'm looking for." She then, rudely, said, "No, I am stocking items." I was shocked and let her know I thought she was rude. She loudly replied that I was rude! I asked her for the manager and wasn't surprised when she told me, "I'm the manager. Too bad for you!" I told her again how unprofessional she was, and she again repeated, "You're rude." Then she got in my face - about 10 inches away - again telling me I was "rude." I reminded her that she is not the owner of the store and her employers might want to know how unprofessional and rude she is with customers. She then accused me of "throwing things" around and bizarrely pointed to cameras that had caught my alleged bad behavior. I got stuck between the trolley and the cosmetics wall because she would not move it and there was no space for my feet. I felt as if I might fall, but luckily I didn't. I moved the trolley myself after she refused and finally backed away from me. I was then able to look at the items I wanted without her blocking my access. I purchased a few items so I would have proof that this altercation occurred and that Dollar Tree has an abusive, unprofessional manager in Lynnwood. While paying, the cashier - not shockingly - ignored me! As I left, I reminded her that the employees should be thankful for paying customers, since everyone is aware of shoplifters at Dollar Tree. I got my receipt and left. At home, I filled out the survey on the receipt and gave the store a poor rating. I emailed their customer service team to report my awful shopping experience at the Lynnwood, Washington, store. This was one of the weirdest experiences I've had. If this older white woman truly is the manager, she should be fired immediately for being rude, bizarre, and threatening. I will not go back until the "manager" is fired. read more

1) There was cigarette smoke in the store coming out of the employees only area/breakroom today 2/22/26. COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE, whether it was an employee or the employees not stopping someone else in there from doing it. 2) Prior to getting to the side of the store, 4 aisles were blocked by boxes/carts/restocking. Again, TOTALLY INEXCUSABLE. This was, what, 1/4 of the aisles being inaccessible mid day on a Sunday? Do you want your customers to be be able to shop, or not? I'm guessing either your corporate policies (that allow this) are trash or the employees at the store were not following a sensible policy that would dictate when and how to stock shelves so customers can still access things. I was pleased with my shopping experience at the Dollar Tree location in Lynnwood Center this morning (Tuesday 19 November 2024). Items were well stocked, so I had fun seeing what was available that some of my family members might like for the Holidays. I ended up going with a number of candy items and a couple of pocket calendars/planners spanning the 2025 and 2026 years (one was in a forest/landscape theme and the other was in a waterfalls theme). The caramels selection was one of the most varied I have seen in terms of flavor offerings at a discount/convenience store. Check-out and my cash payment went without a hiccup. read more

I had such a horrible experience from one of their employees. My little 5 lb dog that was in her own little carrier. After shopping for a good 15 - 20. An employee name Sandy came up to asking why I have my dog in there. I explained to her that it was a hypoallergenic, and I had no problem. If she asked me professionally, to put it out in my car because I was done shopping, but she proceeded to continue to tell me to get out of the store with my dog. read more

Dollar tree is a great place to go when you want to make crafts with your kiddos. I brought my toddlers with me, thinking we could grab some things to fill our weekend with little things to do. The sidewalk is pretty slick from being iced over and the employees are blocking the doors, gossiping and not even acknowledging that we are there. If the store is closed, customer service would be an ideal way to say "oh sorry, ma'am- we are closed." Go the distance to the next location and save your time. read more

Until today, I've gone to this one a lot because it's very close to where I live. However, the parking is awkward, the store is too small and cramped and it's always a total mess. They're always out of things that I want (no trash bags? Really?) and the employees aren't that friendly. From now on the only reason I'll go to this shopping center is to go to the Trader Joe's next door. This Dollar Tree is a good one! It's medium sized with an all right selection on the holiday stuff, party supplies, a few toys and an assortment of home goods and electronics with one aisle and a couple fridges of groceries thrown in. I've been here a couple times so far and all of the cashiers have been friendly and helpful. One that looks like she could pass for Corey Feldman's twin sister was especially chipper. For the few trips I've made, I was able to get almost all of the stocking stuffers for Christmas along with some personal care and pantry items for soldiers that I write to. The store's been clean and well taken care of as well, even during the busy holiday season. Huge parking lot shared with Joanne's makes it easy to find parking. read more

I really don't worry about making reviews. However, we were in line and my son sneezed and got boogers on himself. I happened to not have a tissue on me. I asked the cashier if I could have one of her paper towels to wipe my son's hands real quick before getting to the car. My kid has a sensory disorder, and doesn't like dirty hands. The manager over hears and rudely exclaims they sell tissue boxes located in the back wall and I can go buy a box for my kid. I just needed one tissue. So thank you for embarrassing us and this small issue and making it bigger issue which caused the line to wait and grow longer so I could purchase a box when I could have just got one paper towel to help my child. read more

Absolute pig stye, nothing on shelves, just blocking aisles and in ALL shopping carts full of products

I shop here all the time and never had a problem with staff till today. This lady, I won't bash her name but it starts with an S. While in line I realized I forgot my wallet in the car, it must have fallen out. Panicking in line (I was the next person and because the isles are small I couldn't skoot by the person in front) I tried to remain calm. When it was my turn I tried to stop her from ringing me up so I can tell her I forgot my wallet. She rung up two items when she finally heard me. Then said "go get it then" I told her she can ring the rest of the people up and I can just get back in line. She said " I can't do that I already started. Go get your wallet" I used my own bag so it's not like I would run out. I wanted my items. Since the parking lot is insanely busy for a Sunday I tried to hurry but I parked far away. Once I got back inside she just stood there. Arms folded, rand the rest up and said "so slow" like... I know I was slow, I was parked on the other side of the parking lot. I have finally come out of my cave and tried the dollar store. Hey, times are tough and i recently moved into my own apartment. I went there cuz i heard they have kitchen supplies for cheap and i really needed the necessities. These things can be expensive as we all know and i didn't need top quality, just some things not second-hand. 8 bucks got me quite a bit more than i expected. Unfortunately they didn't have any pots and pans but i did get all the utensils i need and then some. I knew the place wouldn't be exquisite walking in so i cant judge them too much for not being the cleanest. Its Lynnwood so what do you expect? I do pay attention closely to customer service and i found the cashier to be quite nice. She was obviously a bit over-worked and i could tell she was tired. She still engaged in conversation and asked if i was moving into a new place. I said yes and she said thank you for coming here with a genuine smile. Dont judge these places too harshly. It is what it is. But for a chain store, there is a reason why people come here. They have a plethora of stuff for a buck or less and it's really not the worse quality. I just tried to exchange something at this location without a receipt and the cashier said she's never done one so she called up a manager. The manager comes up and the cashier briefly explains what is going on and I told her I've done it before. All this manager proceeds to say is we don't do exchanges without a receipt and walks away turning her back on me before I can even respond. After looking on their website do I find that she is correct and maybe I did forget my pass exchanges i had the receipt or not. But the fact that this rude manager literally said one sentence to me and walks away turning her back is not how you treat customers. Now don't get me wrong I like the dollar tree a lot but just this last Monday I had a weird time there . It was at around 8:30pm in the evening and me and my mom decided to go there for a few things. The staff was well suited for their positions given that there were only maybe two of them there . It was alright until I walked in the back of the store to see a muggy and drug high man struggling in the back and so I tried to stay away as I became anxious and worried, creeped out. Then he ended up on the floor passed out as it was quite the surprise to see after using the restroom. Thank goodness that they use a key for the restroom or else a hoo ha like the guy I was talking about would've done something bad to the restroom or use it without paying for anything. To think that I thought the Everett location by Mariner HS was creepy... I'd recommend going to either the Everett Mall Way location or the Mill Creek one at all costs. read more

I go here when it is on my way. Not bad store. You have to know rules of the returns though. Like opened food is not returnable. This is not a business that is taking COVID seriously. Customers are not following the arrows that instruct walking down the aisles in only one direction. I saw a customer come in without a mask and he just pulled his t-shirt up to his face. A store employee (masked) came up right next to me while I was shopping two different times to reshelf a product right in front of my face. My teen was shopping with me at the store when he had to use the bathroom. The clerk hesitated and then decided to refuse him access. We believe by her attitude it was a profiling either because he is a teen or because he is not white. Either way, when a friend called to find out why he was denied access, the manager told her specifically it was because of some blood splatter due to drug addicts using their locked bathroom. When I called the manager several hours later, she gave me a totally different story about an elderly lady who always comes into the bathroom and has incontinence issues. Back in the day (before the endless Trader Joe's construction project) this Dollar Tree was a great resource. But it went downhill... and fast. Today, and thanks to anemic staffing, indifferent stocking and poor management, it has become a place that I tend to avoid at any cost. More often than not, what I came for (and when I have NO other choice) is rotting in a back room, the shelves are half-filled, and lines are long, winding their way through crowded, cramped aisles filled with cheap crap. Better to pay the full price somewhere else than to subject yourself to this third world nightmare. No fault to the staff, who does their best..the blame is squarely on the shoulders of their incompetent managers and a corporation that probably wants to see this branch fail...and give them the excuse that they need to see it disappear rather than to do what it takes to resurrect it from the graveyard of failed businesses. read more

This store has gone so far down hill in the last year. Your management is so rude and you can tell that the employee's don't respect her. My husband and I stopped in to get some gift wrap and there was a line at least 6-7 people deep and only 1 register open, the cashier was very friendly but as I waited for my husband to get through the line the manager came out of the office and instead of helping she questioned the cashier about the pile of leaves on the floor. The cashier said she was trying to sweep but had to help customers and instead of just taking the time to clean it up the manager looked put out and just walked away from the mess, mind you it was right where customers had to walk to get out of the store.
