Dollartree sounds like Adultery and for that reason I love this store. Not to be confused with a Dollar Bush, a Dollar Shrub, or even a Dollar House Plant. Also not to be confused with LOLar Tree, which is by far the funniest discount store around. When we shop here for our pets it's Collar Tree When we get yelled at by security it's Holla Tree If it's in the Pacific Northwest, it's Walla Walla Tree But it's not Not this one anyway This is a massive Dollar Tree in Katy, and it's right on the highway in a huge enormous strip mall, Katy Ranch Crossing, which is one of the best and most extensive strip malls anywhere. It's a mall, and a store, where you can find a little bit of everything. Lots of big box stores here and this is one of the ones we visit the most. We really like this particular store, which is huge, even though it's a little bit difficult for stopping in front (there's space, but you wouldn't know it from the way people drive and get angry). You can just about drop people off, but it kind of makes people annoyed. Especially if the people you drop off are in porn heels and take awhile to get out of the car. At least there's something nice to look at while you're waiting. Lines can be long, as it's a very busy location, but the reason it's a busy location is that it's a really good location. There's usually a lot of stuff in here to make Barbi happy, and they get their stock replenished on a regular basis, as they are such a busy and well frequented location. So one of the better ones, then. If it handed out organs to dying people, it'd be Donor Tree. Unfortunately it doesn't. And with all the money it generates, it totally could. Or at least pay your employees better so they're not so annoyed all the time. read more

One word: FLABBERGASTED! What a messy store!!! I have come here three times and each time I walk in hoping things are going to be different. But no, same store-different day. There's a cashier at the front always complaining about one thing or another, you can hear her all the way to the back. The complaint today was that they were getting a new manager. Hmmm... Sure, Dollar Tree standards are better than this? I have been to numerous of their locations and haven't seen a store this messy, dirty floors full of sticker, and generally without a care. Doesn't match the neighborhood at all. Hopefully I can attach pictures to support my narrative because I tell you seeing is believing. Just because it's a dollar store doesn't mean it should mostly look like a war zone. The other Dollar Trees put in a great effort. I love this dollar tree so much! They are always re stocking items and working so hard fill shelves up again. The store is up kept so well! Cashiers are always so kind and patient with my kiddos. When they are busy they checkout super fast barley have to wait. We love this store and visit all the time! read more

I am the frugal King, so it's only fair that I love all things Dollar Tree. I gave this location 3 stars, because there's so much room for improvement. This location seems to never have anything I usually find at other Dollar Tree locations. The parking lot is huge due to the location within a huge strip mall. This location is in close proximity of my gym (planet fitness), so imagine how I felt to find out they're out of gallon water. They've been out of gallon water for some time. It doesn't make any sense, because a location 2 miles always has gallon water. There have been times I've visited, during business hours and the store would be closed for random issues. When they are open and ready for business, there's always trash on the floors. The aisles are in disarray. It's as if they don't do nightly cleaning, like other Dollar Tree locations. On the bright side, the cashiers are always friendly. I hope they improve, their location is directly off the interstate and in one of the nicest areas in Houston. read more

This is the most disgusting establishment I've ever had the pain of visiting. The store was unorganized and had many broken/opened items. Along with that, the bathroom had so many ants crawling everywhere. The icing on the cake was the fact that the toilet was clogged and there were urine stains everywhere. I love dollar tree, how can you not? Everything for $1. I buy pitchers for my tea because I know it will stain and I can recycle it after a few months without fretting. I also buy brownie and muffin pans, for gifts (of the baked goods, not the pans). You can put together some great party decorations with the stuff they have, but you can't go in with a specific need, you have to have an open mind. That being said. This one is messy. Stuff on the floors, shelves completely unorganized. Bread that's expired on the shelves. (I would never buy food at a dollar tree). read more

Terrible service, "Miss Dorothy" on the register was rude as ever. I was just purchasing 2 plates, envelopes and a few other items. When I asked if the glass plates could be wrapped in paper, then she told me "I'm telling you now I cant do that" then I said ok never mind can I have a separate bag to avoid them getting scratched up. Then she said no I cant do that either. I then asked her to take them off the tab, then she said fine and slammed the plates down. I then asked for a manager at which miss Dorothy stated she needs to listen in on what I was talking to the manager about. Long story short I spoke with the store manager, explained everything and miss Dorothy proceeded to walk up behind me as I'm talking to the manager with her hands on her old lady hips as if she was about to do something. I will NEVER come to this dollar tree again. read more

This has got to be the absolute worst store I have ever been to. I love dollar tree, but the two stores in Katy off of 10 are an ignorant mess. Employees all on their phones , not even trying to do anything about the mess in that store. Corporate needs to get involved and fix what is going on there. Messy, unorganized, shelves are empty, unopened boxes line the isles, there is never anyone around to help and lines are always long. I am not sure why I ever even go there because it's pointless. This store is a perfect example of POOR MANAGEMENT! I have been shopping here since it opened. In the last year or so it has become a DUMP! It is obvious the stockers are just throwing the new merchandise wherever they want instead of putting it correctly on the shelves, hangers, or end caps. They are not straightening, organizing, or blocking.....just dumping!!! I have visited on several occasions with one of the veteran checkers and she is totally frustrated. She keeps the front of the store in order while also running her register. This store is in a great location in Katy and I can't understand why the upper management is not concerned about the condition of this store! Worst customer service ever! Super unorganized as well! The first time around my card got declined and I took it out sooner than I should have and the lady got super mad at me she said " leave it I will tell you when to take it out" The second time around that I went my card got declined for some random reason again and I tried it a second time and decided to swipe the lady got mad at me and said " on the third time you can swipe" in a rude voice! I was very disappointed on how a manager was treating an employee! She was degrading the person not to the person but while she was putting things on shelves and made the employee cry! Saying she's being snaily etc. totally uncalled for especially around shoppers! You have an office...don't you think there is or in this case was a better way of handling that situation? We teach our kids to not bully yet it kinda counteracts what we teach them if they witness it in a public place don't you think?? This manager has been catty quite a few times that I have been in there... Maybe why new employees? I was beyond embarrassed and shocked!
