Ross Store Complaint…read more As I'm at checkout at a register, I see my older elderly mother in-law patiently waiting for me. Now she had already payed and had a Ross bag of her own. This tall security guard wearing a SWAT team tactical uniform starts staring at her and starts to question what's in her bag. He immediately walks towards her and starts checking her bag and asking for her receipt to verify if she's purchased the items. She mentions to him, you've already saw me checking out at register. Even after he's finished checking her bag, he hasn't taken his eyes off of her and keeps starring at her, making her feel uncomfortable. My mother in-law asked him if there was something wrong. And as nice as she is, she's also asked him if he'd like a peace of gum because that's what she ended up grabbing from her purse because she likes to chew mint gum. My mother also asked him, if there was a problem because she felt uncomfortable. I was at the register about to walk out the door towards where they were and ask him if he sees anything suspicious, he just ignored me and just asks for my receipt. Now this guy just saw me at the register. By law you don't have to show receipt if you seriously don't want to. I did anyways and asked him why he's being so rude. He doesn't show any signs of hospitality, kindness, not even a smile and he demands your receipt at the door and he looks at you suspiciously, as though you've stolen something. As consumers we have our rights by law. It's called Shopkeepers Privilege Law. I was upset with this security guard and told him, I didn't have to show him anything because I've payed my product at register in full. My mother in-law is in her 80's and it upset me more, that the security guard hired by the store would actually insinuate suspicion of elderly woman committing fraud, because that's what Ross is implying and that's violating our rights. They've got everything they need for security, they've got camera's, face detection, live security guards and other floor attendants. I would have made a complaint but the people that have been hired, specially the mangers actually are more rude and have been known to rase their voices at customers. The next time I go in this store I will try documenting these recurring events on video and post it on YouTube and may even write the Ross corporate office and consult my lawyer. This shouldn't be happening and corporate chains need to stop treating customers like cattle. We pay for their goods, keeping them in business. It's not our fault if other people are steeling their inventory, they shouldn't be mistreating us because of it. It's not welcoming and it's not nice. If I'm walking into the store, I shouldn't be getting an eyeball or a hard stare instead of a warm welcome to Ross store.

They had over six cash registers working and that was very nice. Plus they have security people working and I like that.

My go to Publix since 1988! Yes thats correct 1988!…read more I Graduated from the High School right around the corner from this Publix! However, the warm culture has changed; the "shopping is a pleasure culture" is not what it use to be from the Front Management stand point. This was especially apparent this afternoon, the manager was just walking back and forth, back and forth. There was no smiling, no hello he was Just walking back and forth. Where are the nice greetings as you walk in the door, the hello's, the good morning's, the good-afternoon's etc... I have ALWAYS, been a Publix girl!!! Yes it costs a bit more but the service is what makes the difference. I Love the friendly deli staff and the bakery and produce staff are always helpful too! However, I must unfortunately say the Manager at the front lacked the warm, welcoming feeling that I have been use to for over 35 YEARS! Yes I am dating myself but thats ok! I can TRULY speak to the change so lets get back to that "shopping is a pleasure" feeling as soon as you ENTER the store!

The store is okay but please be very careful if you buy any pre-made Publix branded foods such as…read moresalads, sandwiches, dips, and those ready-to-eat meals. We've found ingredients that aren't listed in the ingredient list added to them such as spinach found in the bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapenos. For anyone with food allergies, I would probably suggest NOT buying those pre-made items and instead go with homemade because you may not be buying what the ingredient list says you should be buying.

Main Street located in the heart of Miami Lakes! It's a two…read moreblock strip with shops, hair salons, barber, nail place, boutiques, pet store that offers grooming services, cold stone ice cream, movie theater, juice bar, sports bar with pool tables, several restaurants/cafe and a bar. My favorite eating spots may be Korner67 and 100 Montaditos . Oh let's not forget the yummy Novillo Restaurant ( for a good churasco and pinto rice) and the Old Shulas sports bar that is now I believe it's called Miami Lakes sports bar. The strip has a real estate office. On Saturdays they host a farmers market. A street is closed down for the set up and several vendors set up their tents. I've seen new comer bands set up in the outside open area. At night it's lighted up with lights on the trees. At night they will close a street for more walking area and you will see police officers guiding the guest and keeping us safe. During the start of the Christmas season they do a reveal of the lighting of the tree! The strip is well kept. Free Parking areas available surrounding the strip. So you may just find anything you're looking for in MainStreet. The only thing is while they have a few fashion clothing stop for women... there may be only 1 store that offers a laid back mens clothing. Or even for just a walk through the strip. I' live close by so I remember going to MainStrret as a teenager. The strip has closed many doors (to say a few: Tony Romas, Johnny Rockets, Mia Boutique, Peeky Boo) but something else opens that's just as good.
