But when you walk inside it looks like just about every other location out there with the lack of items on the shelves. As well as there is no general organization inside. This location felt on the smaller side of things when it came to product available. The aisles even felt smaller in length. I was looking for a quick pick up of safety pins. I looked all over the store for them, in the logical places at least. And I was about to give up and take the items that I did have in my hands. Then, I was standing at the register, of all places, were the safety pins.

To top it off, they are located in a locked case that you can really only see what selection they have. You can't put your hands on the items which would allow you to check the pricing, confirm the amount, and possibly take a sniff to see if it was to your liking. I understand the necessity of this, but if they are busy there may not be anyone around to allow this. The rest of the store is what you would expect from a Marshalls. Smaller men's section, ample amount of home goods, unique snacks. Like I said, a nice addition to the plaza and a good place to waste of bit of time if you need to.

Clearfield Square (formerly Clearfield Mall) is a strip mall with an enclosed walkway. It's easy to…read morefind being off of both U.S. 322 and Route 879. It's anchored by one of the best Ollie's I've ever seen that has been recently upgraded and a better than average Goodwill. The interior has a few other businesses, including two that keep it busy, the PennDOT Driver License Center and the Fine Wine & Good Spirits state liquor store. Clearfield is in the middle of upgrades and being repositioned. The enclosed walkway is very dated and most owners would have it removed, but that's not possible due to the buildings design. Roses discount store is going to replace the former JCPenney, which looks to be a good addition. Several vacant storefronts need to be filled and a few could be merged together. Several other businesses are located outside of the mall including AutoZone and Harbor Freight. The Long John Silver's is a more modern location and clean. Overall, Clearfield Square is well positioned as a local's mall. It's not going to attract people from outside the area, but will be useful for those who live in and around Clearfield.

OLLIES has the best Christmas shopping event where the send you a ticket in the mail. The line can go the whole up to the DG where the stocking staffers make your wallet happy. And the side buildings are great also with HARBOR FREIGHT and ADVANCED AUTO on your way out.

We were nearby and just thought we would check to see. In the end, they did not have the item, but we continued to browse through the store. Good thing that we did. We ended up finding some good buys here and ended up purchasing a few items. When we got to the register there was a bit of a hiccup. The employee working at the register didn't want to believe us when we told them that the price that rang up was not the one posted for the item where it was located. He wanted to argue and possibly thought that we were haggling. But when we pointed out to him the price on the rack, which was in eyeshot of the register he became a bit defeated. Not our fault that the pricing tags are not correct or changed to reflect the correct information.

You know what's odd? Seeing an Old Navy built next to a mall, but has no access to the mall…read moreitself. I mean it is connected by brick, but not by entry. So odd, but alas, there are a lot of free standing Old Navy's out there. With their simplistic approach of how the store is set up it is very easy to browse the items on stock. Occasionally you can find a bargain on the clearance rack or place the perfect outfit together with no effort what so ever. This one was very well organized and clean. No clothing items on the floor, everything mostly folded with the exception of a few items that were rustled through. The one thing I like about these places is the novelty and sports tees they offer. Some of them have the vintage effect and that is just fine by me.
