I would go back. I hope I don't run into the owner based on other reviews.

No trip to Wisconsin is complete without a ceremonial smuggling of a trunk-full of New Glarus beer…read more This magical brew is only available in the cheese state and in high demand around the country. When visiting family in Milwaukee, you MUST make a stop to stock up on this craft brew. The New Glarus Brewing Company was founded by Deborah Carey as a gift for her husband, Daniel. Before starting the New Glarus Brewing Company, Dan Carey was an experienced diploma master brewer. Today the company brews a variety of beers, with its Spotted Cow label leading in sales. New Glarus brewing employs about 90 people today. The brewery made the choice to pull out of Illinois sales effective 2003 leading to the sale of New Glarus beer 'Only In Wisconsin' for all time. So enough about the beer now on to Piggly Wiggly. First off, that name is amazing. I've heard of the chain before and know that it's quite reputable. On our drive from Milwaukee to St. Louis, this particular Piggly Wiggly is the PERFECT stop for a beer pickup. The alcohol selection at Piggly Wiggly is amazing! There were so many amazing craft beer selections, all of which were Wisconsin based! The Piggly Wiggly had every selection available from New Glarus. From Spotted Cow to Moon Man, we had so many options. There were also so many other brewery options. We got beers from Point brewery and also from MKE Brewery and Great Dane. Loved their focus on local. As for the actual grocery portion of this store, I can't comment too much. We walked around briefly and it was... a store! We did want to buy some pretzels for our journey, but there were only two lines open and they were packed. Would have loved to have seen more lanes open to get patrons through quicker. At the end... my biggest feedback is that if you're driving south from Milwaukee and are looking for a quick stop to get New Glarus beer to enjoy at your final destination, Piggly Wiggly is your best bet.

It is super annoying to be pressured into getting a Kohls card every time I shop in store!!!!!!!…read moreIt's every store every associate so I know it's coming from corporate. Mention it once and when I say no stop talking about it. I am so tired of the sales pitch every single time. And after asking your employees they are embarrassed to do this every single time. Especially when it's regular customers that they have asked before. It's very obnoxious! It's very poor customer service!! Change your policy! Give us all a break please!

They have a sign about "Military Mondays" for military and veterans discount. I asked about that, being a veteran. The cashier had to call someone over who had to call a manager as no one seemed to know anything about the sign posted at every register. The 'manager' comes over and tries to sell us a Kohls card, of which I already have. Then tells me it's a 30% discount to use it, versus the 15% for military/veterans. That was irritating. Then it seemed to be a big deal to figure out how to apply any discount to my small purchase. He finally figured out the brand 'didn't qualify.' I asked how I would know when shopping on a Monday what brands would qualify, "It's an ever growing list." (of exclusions) "So I wouldn't know until I checked out?" "Yes, basically. I don't know every brand off the top of my head." Not how to go about handling an inquiry, but ok. "Can I check the website?" "Maybe. It's an ever growing list." "Of excluded brands?" "um Yes. Ya know things like Underarmor, Nike, ya know." I actually don't know, hence why I'm asking. It seemed such an inconvenience to even ask about their posted "Military Monday." Kohls is just getting worse and worse.

You'll either LOVE this store, or it won't be your jam at all…read more Remember When presents as a Vintage store and that's sort of true. But the vast majority of stock is "collectibles" like Xmas village items, Betty Boop, The Office & Wizard if Oz toys etc. It's not my jam, but if you are into: cookie jars, Fiestaware or Xmas village stuff I recommend a visit. They had tons of stuff in these categories - lots of new/old stock Fiesta especially.

Nice shop, sadly my visit wasn't as nice as it could have been…read more I drove over 3+ hrs and after some time in the shop looking I needed to use a restroom. One employee seemingly told me they were waiting on a plumber so I had no choice but to walk down to the corner gas station to use the restroom which was really inconvenient since I had injured my foot, it was swollen and bruised. Upon returning to the shop, I never seen a plumber for the 2+hrs I looked around in the shop. When I checked out, as I waited for my 5-items the nicer of the 2-employees checked out another woman who had 2-items and spent less than $30 dollars, the woman asked to use the restroom and the employee told her oh let me get the keys??? The employee proceeded to ask for the key as I stood right there from the very same employee that told me they were waiting on a plumber??? Then the nicer employee escorted the woman to the shops restroom??? It must be pretty privileged to be able to use the shops bathroom as I had to walk down the street to use the gas station. What really is the worst is that I had spent $248+ dollars and I couldn't be shown the same kindness that is seemingly selective. Being the bigger person is sometimes hard to do as others in my shoes would not have spent a penny in that shop simply because of the bias selective treatment but the 3-items were gifts for my mom as mother's day is this weekend and the other 2-items were for my future grandkids. Its important to sow goodness as what we sow in life is what we shall reap so the employee at this shop really needs to re-think twice before you pick and choose which customers may use the shop's restroom as I the customer can also choose to spend or not spend my money which earns your living. I always leave reviews when traveling as it helps others when traveling I have over a million views and I can honestly say, I've been treated so much better.
