I went during the busy Christmas season. The employees were polite and helpful despite the hustle and bustle of the shoppers.

I usually love Ollie's, but unfortunately, this one trip kind of missed the mark. The store was an…read moreabsolute wreck and looked like a bomb went off inside it. On one aisle, there were so many items shoved onto the shelves that you couldn't even tell what they were, and it would have been hopeless to try and sort through them to find one that you liked. In another area of the store, there were just ripped boxes placed on top of a shelf, and again, you couldn't even tell what the merchandise was, and it looked very disorganized. In the rug and carpet section, it was perhaps the most disorganized that I've ever seen a store be, and there was even a carpet sticking out into the aisle, making it impossible to pass through. I know that you don't really go to Ollie's for an organized and aesthetically pleasing shopping experience, but this one trip was a little too excessive. Luckily, this was the first time that this has happened to me at this Ollie's, so I'm hoping that it was just a one-time thing, and I'll still be back in the future.

Better stuff than a known competitor. Will be back!

Even the T-shirts are bad, how can the T-shirts be bad? But they are bad. A occasionally disturbingly smelling parade of cheaply made overpriced junk organized in the most haphazard way possible. There are never enough carts and if you find one, you can't push it through the aisles because there is so much crap on the ground. Even the music is mopey, weeping for what it once was Only two poor and exhausted employees were there for the entire store, tired, cranky, yelling at the customers to clean the dressing rooms and saying to each other that that Goodwill took the good out of the Goodwill.

I go frequently and try to keep an open mind. I buy china, glassware, clothing., etc. As expected, I check over the merchandise. Some days,I don't find anything , more often , I find dishes, glassware , clothing etc. some may be individual items, other times, luck up and find, I.e., dishes of the same pattern, etc. I always check for surface and rim ware, especially If there is gold / silver edging. The dishes, glassware, etc are placed on shelves, where there is room. So some dishes ( same pattern) may be on same shelf, next shelf, etc. also depends what is loaded into the shopping carts (items to be displayed) from the workroom. So may, I.e.,see part of (same china) in the morning, another time later in day / tomorrow when more baskets are filled.,etc... In this scenario, the, I.e., same china, may not be together or a customer pick's it up / place it down another shelf, etc. The potential buyer needs to keep open mind...I.e., check dishes, glassware for chips, cracks, roughness to rims, etc. Most are in good condition. Also there will be items in original boxes. These also need to be checked for condition too. Clothing may be tried on too. I go frequently as merchandise is moved to the sales floor all during the day. Keep an open mind, as the you'll never know what you will find. The Staff makes the shopping experience even better... plus conversing with other customers is fun too. Cheers! Martha J.

Starting on Saturday the line is around the corner of the building with people waiting to get a deal. The warehouse is lined with wooden crates that are full of everything you can imagine from toys to blankets to household items. There are a couple of rules but they're pretty straight forward. Shopping: Adults 16 and older are given a large blue IKEA bag. Whatever you can fit in it you can buy for only $7! That's every single item in the store. Once the bag is full you have to pay but you can come back in as many times as you want. If there is a box you want opened to see inside just ask a store employee and they will be happy to help you. Opening it on your own will get you kicked out. Only a certain amount of people are allowed in at a time so you may have to wait. No large bags or purses are allowed inside so just bring your wallet. They take cash or card. Don't drag the blue bags because they will rip. Saturday's everything is $7, Sunday it's $5. Parking: parking is limited on busy days. The Goose Creek police are there on weekends to help with traffic control and making sure everyone behaves. Don't park in the local business parking spots or you'll get towed. You can line the roadway against the grass closer to the train tracks. Food: Yes! Food trucks are here on the weekend serving out delicious food for hungry shoppers. The staff is really friendly and helpful. You never know what you'll find hidden under the piles so have fun!
