Finally when It was my turn the lady at the cash register asked me if I wanted to sign up for a rewards card and I politely said no and she looked at me if I was crazy. Then she aggressively bagged my items and not said a word to me after that. I asked to speak to the manager and not 1 came to speak to me. I have never experienced such poor management in a store I'm disappointed. I felt as if I was being racially profiled. PLEASE SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE, THIS STORE IS A JOKE!!!!

OUTLET Low Cost Store Positive; super low cost on all items and they have some good finds. Negatives: long lines Let's be realistic, if you are paying $1 for shoes , $1 for shirts , you can't expect too much. It's almost like Goodwill except everything is New. The shelves are not completely stocked, but they don't need to be; the prices will get those people in and those lines will stay long. It's not free but it's definitely charitable prices. Well done

You always find something great in the store for a very reasonable price. Dog snacks and toys. Found some great planter containers for .25 cents and a summer flavor Gatorade that was great for half of what other stores charge. I found these cheese puffs one time they were so good. I went back and got more a few days later. They also had these little small snack size bags of a pretzel snack that had a barbecue mustard flavor to it and those were so good. They're only $.25 a bag. I went back and got more of those as well but they don't last long once the items are cleared out they're gone. It's a clearance store.

My girlfriend and I came in to look around. Firstly, parking is painless. So don't worry about that. Secondly, the store is clean, brightly lit, and smells like candles. There are lots of random things to find here. Random chotskies galore, candles, pillows, rugs, some dry foods, coffee, curtains, etc. The lines are always long, but they move fast. I feel the cashiers get exhausted. Love here for Xmas shopping.

Oscar was the fitting room attendant and he was so pleasant and helpful. The jackets were kind of puffy and clumsy and he helped me get them to the room. I ended up with a Kenneth Cole jacket for $59.99 and a Calvin Klein quilted vest for $39.99. I even managed to find a pair of Adidas jogging shoes that fit for $49.99. Although there was a line in check out, it moved swiftly. They seemed to have all the cash registers open to accommodate the customers. My cashier, Jose, was cheerful and efficient. He did a real nice job of bagging my purchases. I have shopped or stopped (not all visits end up with purchases :) a few times each year since this store opened a few years ago. This store has always been clean and orderly at the times that I have been there. The staff members that I have encountered have always been pleasant and helpful. This store might not offer quite as much as some others, but if your timing is right you can find some pretty nice items for some pretty reasonable prices. Even when I don't find what I came in the store to find, I always feel good in this store. This store just makes me feel happy!

Since Rosa J. has found pleasure in thrift-shopping, she hasn't been visiting a T.J. Maxx or a…read moreMarshall's as regularly as she should. However, she won't completely ditch the discount stores because there are several advantages when shopping at Maxx or a similar store like this: 1) a massive selection of handbags and shoes: I prefer a brand-new handbag or an unworn pair of shoes. I've realized that half of my handbags from my past "compulsive" shopping addiction weren't functional for my city life. I would rather invest on a handbag, which would cost $100 to $150, but it will last a long time. Shopping at Maxx for handbags is easy-breezy, without being bothered by sales associates. For the shoes, I haven't brought a pair of shoes from a thrift store, yet I've purchased many pairs from Maxx and they last. 2) are you a fan of Michael Kors? If you are, I saw lots of MK merchandise in this location. 3) organic shampoo, shower gel, facial wash, and hand soap: I haven't brought a drug store brand for some time. My trick is to convert my credit card reward into Maxx gift cards, so my "reimbursements" have been used for this category. This T.J. Maxx is very close to the CTA Kedzie Orange Line station. If you're in the south-side area out and about, hit it up when you get a chance.

I've been a customer for as long as the store has been open, i shop at DD's at least 2x a month…read more This afternoon I walked in w my parents and my sister found this beautiful wooden jewelry box that i loved it seemed to be a.2 piece set, as it had a second box wrapped and protected with foam pieces on the sides. The price was $14.99 which i considered amazing considering that not only was it a beautiful piece but it was a 2piece. When we got to the register the cashier/manager opens the jewelry box, takes out the box that was carefully nested on the inside, tears the wrapping on the box, I'm here thinking that he's probably removing a sensor but no, instead hesays these 2 items are priced individually. First of all they have at least 3-4 more of those exact jewelry boxes on the shelves with the same smaller wrapped box on the inside. Here he is being an Ahole saying want it or not? Of course i want it but as it was placed on the shelve as a 2 picece, not my fault they're not doing their job unpacking if the second box had not been fullt wrapped and protected with the foam pieces i would've been able to see that it was not a set but instead of this ahole asking for an apology for them fucking up he had a very arrogant, and rude attitude making seem as if it was my mistake that his staff didn't stock the items individually on the shelves.
