My family and I were on vacation in the Destin area for Thanksgiving so of course we hit some of the stores for sales. What I liked about this location is that one of the workers made sure to tell me how to get an extra percentage off what I was buying by using the Nike app, which I would not have done. They actually had a really good selection of items on sale . My oldest son was able to get three nice shirts for $21. We will probably come back here when we visit the area again.

Once, back in the day, when America was "great," perhaps this place was great as well. Back when…read morethere might have been even a speck of industry in this backwater of backwater Florida. But over the past decade or so, this "outlet" mall has gone even further downhill. Now if you live in the area, there aren't many clothing options apart from Wal-Mart at all, so it's a great option. But these are not local clothing mills outlet stores by any means - just Wrangler's and Lee's' made in Bangladesh. Not even the Jesus store remains, and that's saying something for area. And I'm not sure that the Factory Stores of America will every be "great" again....

I was amazed that not only did someone make most of these items but that somehow they were charging a dollar for these items, which seemed incredibly too expensive for what was presented before me. They each picked a new toy (yup, we spent over $100. on that little bit of spoiling!), when we were paying the person checking out our order asked us if we would like to buy a plastic Disney bag to put our purchases in? I said no thank you that I would take a regular bag. I was informed that "sorry, Disney is being 'green' and doesn't do plastic". Really? You were ready to sell me a plastic bag. So I asked if they had paper ones? Nope. They only have plastic ones to buy. So, we had to carry our purchases around the outlet mall...until we went to the Nike store. Nike store graciously offered us a shopping bag to carry our purchases. I personally can't stand when companies claim to be 'green', but it's all a show.
