I would suggest looking at the weekly sales circular to know exactly what is best to grab when you come here. Maybe even get a royalty card for the store. I have had mine for some time, but it won't recognize my name, it's irritating. I chose to use the self checkouts when I came here. Be prepared to have peanut gallery smart remarks about your usage of the machine from the store employee that might be manning the area. Cheaper than Giant Eagle. Easier to navigate than Walmart. Less sketchy than Save a Lot. I don't know if you can find super gourmet options here, but the produce seems decent, the meat counter's all right, and the frozen section is well-stocked. A lot of sales are pretty good. I can't get super enthusiastic about shopping here, but it's probably where I'll find myself getting groceries most often for a while.

The bakery is five star. Lots of delicious treats and they are fresh baked. When you go in in the morning, it has a delightful smell of fresh baked bread! Produce is almost always actually fresh, but make sure you check, especially things like strawberries. Staff is friendly and will help you look for things and answer questions. The one down side is that sometimes some of the cashiers are chatty which can slow things down. It is great to be personable, but sometimes you want to get through a line quickly because you are on the way to someplace else. The deli has a nice selection of meats and prepared foods (like pasta salad and potato salad) and the staff their is friendly and informative. Overall, the store is clean and overall well maintained. The biggest negative is that you really need to check expiration dates. They often still have stuff on their shelves that has expired.

It's not my preferred place to go, but when you need it, it's your savior. It's usually very clean and always dimly lit so make sure your phone has enough battery to keep the flashlight on throughout the duration of your visit. The smell changes frequently based upon the time of day and who was there before you. Upon entering, you might be treated with a nice scent of flowers but you could also get a pungent whiff of urine if the motorized carts haven't been hosed off recently. On rare occasions, it might smell like sewage although that issue has been recitified thankfully. Nevertheless, it's a great place and has everything you need. Staff is very friendly. Cat food is typically $1 less per can than Giant Eagle, so stock up when you can. Ultimately, I love this place. They don't make them like this anymore.
