Measurements were done carefully and precisely to insure a non-refundable, expensive piece of furniture would work where we wanted it. We were given the dimensions and told the pieces would fit through standard size doorways. Never were we informed that the corner piece of the sectional would be wider than the listed measurement of 37". The crew that arrived to deliver the couch damaged our walls, ceiling, baseboard was broken, the banister was loosened from base, garage door damaged, and our front storm door hinge was bent and damaged as they shoved the piece through a doorway already deemed to small. When it had been decided that the attached leg pieces would not allow the piece to go down the hallway we waited another week for the re-delivery of the piece after the leg was made removable by WBF. Upon calling the store in regards to the piece not fighting as we had planned, my husband was accused of measuring wrong and told it was our problem. The owner of the store then called my husband and told him, "you got what you wanted and you want it in the basement" and that West Bend Furniture was not liable for any of the damage inflicted on our home. My issue is the blatantly poor customer service and lack of problem solving. I have always worked in customer service and never have I told a client it's his problem when an issue arose. We had never felt so disrespected and mistreated after spending nearly $4000 in a month on two pieces of furniture from there. I will not recommend shopping there because I have witnessed first hand when something goes wrong and the absolutely poor customer care you will receive. I will happily take my business to Biltrite or other comparable furniture stores in the future.

Their sale prices are in line with sales at other stores, but "regular" prices are typically a little higher than what you find at Pick or Piggly Wiggly. That said, the quality of their steaks, deli, and produce is much better than Pick. I do wish their meat department would offer the option of vacuum sealing their steaks when they go on sale (love their NY Strip)...some butcher shops offer this, but I guess I understand why they don't. Anyway, if you're new to the area, or just don't frequent Sendik's because of the higher grocery prices, at least give their meat department and produce a try. Oh, and their store brand Sendik's tortilla chips, frozen 4-packs of chicken cordon blue, as well as their natural honey roasted peanut butter are all delicious, and I often make a special run to the store just for these items. Employees typically seem friendly and willing to help, and checkout lines are usually very short. My one complaint would be slightly wider checkout aisles. Most people enter the checkout aisle ahead of their cart to place items on the conveyer. Then, slide around the side of your car to get behind it and push it to the bagger. This is impossible to do as the checkout aisle is barely as wide as the cart itself.
