After I waited for 15 minutes with other items roasting in my car in 90° weather, the Customer Service with authority to help me (who had told a fellow employee that she would help me) returned with three or four boxes of 12 mini diet cokes. I reiterated that I only wanted 2 six packs of the mini cans, none of which were on the shelf. She told me there were none in back. I asked her if since there weren't any of what I needed, I had to pay full price for the larger box that I did not want or if she could give me a discount (maybe the same price as 12 would cost in the BOGO?). She dismissively told me that I had to pay full price if I only bought one box. I consider that neither "working with me" as a customer nor Customer "SERVICE." frankly, I was shocked and appalled at her attitude and lack of desire to help a customer. She had no apparent desire to help me as one of her customers. Her attitude does not reflect the customer orientation that I have known in any other Publix in any state in my life. I am grateful that there are now two Publixes in LaGrange and I will do all that I can to shop at the Publix at Merganser Commons instead of the one on Commerce in the future.

I ordered for my wife and I the 16 piece baked chicken for lunch and dinner later. The pieces of chicken were very small. The breasts were an average size. However, the chicken was very dry, to the point of being almost inedible. My wife and I couldn't finish our breast pieces due to how dry they were. I tried a wing and it might as well have been dust. I decided to take the rest to our cabin to try and rescue something for dinner, but nothing could be saved. We were on a tight schedule so I did not bother asking for a refund. The area where you sit and eat was filthy. The window ledges had mold all over them, the trash was full, tiles were filthy, and tables hadn't been wiped. See photos. No matter if I need Shells to stuff with cooked snails or crab to Peanut Butter and oddities that sell like hotcakes, they have it. I don't remember how many years ago it was when the store sent me a survey asking what I wanted in an Ingles store. I asked for a Bank built inside the store, a 24/7 Drugstore a Donut Shop and Deli, and a Gestation.

When we finally reached the store and I apologized for the delay, a staff named Laura said that they try were just trying to be thoughtful since they realize many families have more things to take care of. Their fried chicken and baked chicken are also outstanding! Freshway's meats are super and they have a butcher on staff who cuts to order. Their fruit and produce sections are not large, but plentiful enough and they typically source many of the in season items locally (middle Georgia). This is my go-to store and I highly recommend. Their staff are also friendly and helpful.

It makes for a good pit stop for travelers on the Florida-Georgia Parkway although I suspect they do a killer business with the folks drawn to the recreation opportunities on Lake Blackshear and at Georgia Veterans State Park. We travelers are just icing on the cake. The current location is a new building they built and moved to a few years ago. On the south side of Warwick you can see the original wood frame store building still hanging in. Their second location is now occupied by another business trying to imitate them and get some of their business. I am just fine with continuing to stop at Stripling's.

Anyway, I was on my 30-minute trek back home when thoughts triggered me to stop & check the +$60 receipt: My in-store phone scan of the Rocker Switches was $5.10; and the shelf card for the batteries was $3.99. Respectively, the receipt lists $6.64 (x2) and $4.74. This is potentially -$4 for me. The check-out was complete by 10:43:54. (The store seemed clean, and the associates seemed friendly). One of my main reasons for preferring the self-checkout is that my attention span stays neat and I generally spot discrepancies immediately. All of their self-checkouts were already, and disappointingly, disabled for the evening. This might read a bit dramatically for some; but I'm crying on the inside.

Their pickers or their delivery drivers are absolutely useless and do not care enough to actually look at your order. For the 2nd time yesterday, out of 21 items, 11 were missing. Only 1 item was listed as out of stock. Either the picker completely skipped the refrigerated items on the list, or the delivery driver kept the items for herself. Since their delivery driver calls and makes you come out because she is terrified of dogs (I do not own any animals), I would bet she kept the items knowing that Walmart would refund me. There is NO option to make a request for the missing items, only to ask for a refund (which by the way they have up to 10 days to do). The customer care is AI or computer and no help at all. I WANTED MY GROCERIES, not a refund!! No way that 11 items of cheese, yogurt, frozen dinners were not available. Solution: since I could not get the Eufaula, AL Walmart to help me, I changed my store location to Phenix City, AL. ALL of my groceries were delivered quickly and efficiently, exactly as ordered. And with a much friendlier driver. I WILL NEVER order from or walk through the doors of the Eufaula Walmart. And it is a shame, because only 2 weeks previously I spent over $200 with them, and my husband is in there frequently. Never again. Trust me. . .Phenix City Walmart is the one to use.
