Ollie's has some great bargains, especially on K-cups for my Keurig coffeemaker. The selection is huge and the prices are definitely cheaper than grocery stores or big box stores. They even have flavored K-cups like hot chocolates. The book section is also larger than the big box stores. The selection of books for toddlers is excellent, with a lot of interactive and pop-up books that kids love. The food items were lacking, but everything I saw was fresh/in date. If I lived in Walterboro or near an Ollie's, I'd be a regular customer. Check in often because the inventory changes.

I spent most of my time in the grocery section, finding what I needed as far as snacks for the road. At the registers, a short queue for the self-checkouts and no problems with the machines. My friend is redecorating her house and wanted mid-century items and Susan was just a rock star, running around finding things she'd be interested in. She finally found a set of pastel 1950s dinner plates that were just perfect! They were almost 400.00 for the whole set, but was willing to hear my friend's counter-offer. Being a nice person I ask to talk to the manger and I get the manger that's in charge of all the clothes. I explain to her what's going on and they tell me there is nothing they could do about it. I didn't care I just asked they did something for other costumers so they wouldn't get confused because not only three or five items are in the wrong spot there were MULTIPLE racks full of the wrong prices and everything for boy and girls clothes. They still didn't do nothing and the person at the cash register is they only one who said sorry to me while everyone else didn't care or rolled there eyes.

Drove 30 minutes to buy an entire case of an item I know was in stock, but nobody could walk to the stockroom to retrieve it. And the option to buy online for store pickup was grayed out online, probably because the wonderful employees can't be bothered to check stockroom for customers. Maybe these women need different jobs. The one that was up by the front door blabbing to a friend could perhaps do well with a telemarketing job. Oh, I'm not done yet. I've already called customer service. Will be calling corporate next. It's a shame there are people who can't seem to get jobs, that would gladly help customers...and some that do have jobs, are just there to get paid to socialize.

Everything about it is middle of the pack. "OK" in cleanliness, "OK" in selection, and "OK" in customer service. If every department tried just a tiny bit more it would be a great store, but being one of the only options in town I think they are a little complacent. The food at the deli is good. The fried chicken is flavorful and juicy. The problem is half of the time I go in the deli is out of it, along with a lot of the side dishes.
