Granted, it was after 7pm on a Sunday and the holiday crowd was pretty much gone, but I never encountered a front end with no cashiers. I had to ring up my entire order with more than 30 items! Needless to say, it took a while and, with no conveyor belt to move items along, it took a while to ring up my order $200+ after coupons. Thank goodness I was able to apply my digital coupons so that my discounts from the app saved me a ton of money ($100+). That's terrible staffing and something like that shouldn't happen especially during a busy summer holiday.

My brother in law returned them for unexpired formula, and expressed how upsetting this situation was, especially for future infants who would be purchasing formula from here, as he had to contact my nephew's pediatrician, however, upon going to Target today, we found even more expired formula from 12/2025! Then I went to the register with my items to purchase and a very professional lady named Lanay rang up my purchase and was very kind and courteous. I have not seen this kind of professionalism in any other Dollar Tree and I don't always send emails about the service I get in any store unless it has been a negative experience. Lanay made all the difference today in my Dollar Tree experience. You need employees like Lanay in all of your stores. I enjoy shopping at the Dollar Tree and I will go out of my way to visit the Ventnor City, NJ store again and avoid the Brigantine store that is only 2 minutes from my home. Great customer service and a winning attitude make ALL of the difference.

The staff is entirely white, and the forced smiles don't hide their underlying fears, stereotypes, and prejudice. Not one person of color works there and I find that alarming..I've been followed and watched from a distance while shopping, which is uncomfortable enough. But what really sealed it for me was at the register when the cashier only checked my money to see if it was real. That was the final straw. I only went there because they have the item that i need for a good price, but I'm NEVER shopping there again.
