When I first moved to Florida back in 2001, Winn-Dixie had one of my go-to supermarkets. Back then, pretty much the big games in town were Winn-Dixie, Publix and Albertson's (do you remember Albertson's?). In the meantime, Albertson"s has pretty much disappeared and Winn-Dixie for years slipped into a string decline. One of the saddest things about the slippage in Winn-Dixie was the drop in quality in their meat department. Winn-Dixie once probably described itself as the "Beef People." As time progressed, Winn-Dixie started putting an emphasis on their cheaper "USDA Inspected, Not Graded" meat offerings instead of USDA Choice grade meat. Just remember the old adage that you get what you pay for. This meat is usually terrible. Winn-Dixie finally noticed and has taken very proactive steps into addressing their decline. While they close some stores, the other ones received an expensive facelift. They also started putting an emphasis on USDA Choice beef again. This particular Winn-Dixie is it good place to head towards to do a bit of food shopping. I would definitely recommend here.

I absolutely hate this store, last night was the second time I felt discriminated against. Me and…read moremy husband had a few items, self check out attendant was trying to force me to use a regular register lane when the line was like 6-8 customers deep. Only one lane was open. Why would I stand and wait in the line when no line at self check out? He literally stood over us and watched us scan each item. This has happened once before it was me and my cousin she was buying a few things I was buying a few things. We were told we were not allowed to use self check out, we advised the attendant it was a split order and there was no need to wait in a line when there was none for self checkout. He simply stated "we were not allowed" so we left the cart and went to Publix. If there are more than one register open I would have been okay but I'm not going to wait in a line at one open register for what? Why is this happening? You are closer to me than Publix but if this is the service I will be provided. I will take my business elsewhere.

The first thing I saw when I came in was a sign that peoclaimed 1776. The next thing I noticed were signs on how to get copies of a pocket guide to the US Constitution. This was on a support that separates their fruit from their registers. Any other time line, I'd think nothing of that and be cool, but in today's political climate, I felt very uncomfortable. Yes, you should ABSOLUTELY know your rights and the constitution, just never have seen this pushed in a health food store. Aside from that, their selection was fine, quite large with products that we had not seen elsewhere. Their snack section seemed particularly large and full of options as were their suppliments. Nothing wrong with the store, employees were friendly and engaging.

At least 20 different Walmarts that I've shopped at regularly. None of them were even remotely as poorly stocked as this one. This one is only about a 5 minute drive away from me, yet I drive an extra 10 minutes out of my way each way just to go to a different one. There is no point in ever going to this one, because it is always out of stock of at least one in every seven or eight items that I need. That is not even an exaggeration. Whichever manager handles the stocking of that store needs to be replaced. It's really simple math to keep a store stocked properly. Pretty sure the person doesn't even know basic math. They probably never even made it past fifth grade. If you use Walmart+, DO NOT select this store as the one that you have your groceries delivered from. You will most certainly end up not getting multiple items that you needed. Any of the other Walmarts in the area are a better choice than this one.
