Anchor stores include JCPenney, Sears, and Belk, but a lot of storefronts inside seem to be vacant. The usual mall stuff is there (Mrs. Field's cookies, a center area where they set up Santa at Christmas, etc.), but it's really not anything special. There is access from all sides, and plenty of parking. I've only ever been in daylight, so I can't comment on security. Honestly, if you've just got to get out of the house, this is somewhere to go, but I can't get that enthusiastic about it.

I haven't been to this mall in many, many years prior to my recent visit. I was verrrry disappointed that taco casa was no longer in the food court. She came back from Atlanta to shop for a wedding gown, a reception dress, and for a dress for my wife. Gown? Check. Reception dress? Check. Kudos to Bella's & The Clothes Tree for those purchases. Great experiences. For her mom, she convinced us to go to Effie's in Homewood. My wife found something she liked, but it was in the wrong color & the color was ordered. After it came in, the item was the right color but not made the same way as the one she had tried on. Nonetheless, she was convinced to go ahead and get it. 10 days later, she changed her mind and took it back. It was only then that she was informed that the return was store credit only. At no time during the hour or so spent in the store were we told of this policy, nor did she see it posted anywhere - dressing room, checkout, anywhere. It is not on their website. It is not on their Instagram site. Here's the kicker. When she returned it, she was told that the reason for "the policy" is, "young girls buy something, wear it to an event, then bring it back". They told this to a 65 year old woman. Not only is this insulting to her, it should be insulting to all young people who would never do something like that. Okay. Your ballpark, your ground rules. You have $500 of our money that can only be recouped through other purchases. Maybe that will happen - maybe it won't. But will dime one beyond that ever be spent there again? Nope. As long as you know before you go, knock yourself out. Not us. Not again.

The store was very cluttered, stock was scattered all over the store, but the one thing that upset me was the employees. I had a buggy full of stuff, I went to the checkout, was the ONLY person in line. The cashier was stocking things in the cattle run (what u call it anyway), the boxes were behind me, she saw us, didn't speak, and insisted of checking us out, she walked behind me and continued stocking shelves. I pushed the buggy to one of the lanes and immediately left. I've always loved TJ Maxx and will continue to shop just not at this location.

They also had a decent selection of stuff on sale. I tried on a few things and although I didn't end up buying anything (the things I was interested in either weren't in stock in my size or I didn't love on me ), there were a lot of clothes here I would have purchased. The girl who was working was super friendly and even recommended some places for us to get food in the area. Worth stopping into.
