The master plan that Dollar General has for their growth is completely on display in this part of the country. I swear, every five miles there was one of these establishments. Not all exactly the same, but offering the same items.
This location feels lonely. Being built on a country road. It has a beautiful waterfront view, with nothing else around. No other businesses, residential building on the one side up the road, but nothing else around.
Stopped here to pick up a few items for our impending stay. I grabbed a cart because I was definitely getting a case of water along with the other items. I walked up and down the items just throwing random snack items in the cart. I really didn't need the snacks, but I definitely wanted something in case I needed a snack or water while in the hotel.
I also needed some toothpaste as I was near the end of my tube. I knew I was going to be spending a little bit more for that here, but it was convenient for the stop. Once I had everything, I was ready to make my way to the register and be on my way.
The staff here were super nice and entertaining. While being rung up the employee made chit chat with me and joked about the items I purchased. Looking like a hungry junk food addict. I paid and made my way outside to load up the car. Great stop on the way to our intended destination. read more
