I rarely go to this Publix due to the parking lot congestion. It is located at Piedmont Point. On the north side the congestion is from Chick-Fil-A, the west side congestion is from Little Rosie's and the southwest congestion is from Walton's Southern Table. I was in the area and blueberries have been on my mind. I stopped by to check out their fruit selections today. Blueberry shortcake to be exact was what I dreamed about. Blueberries were 3 pints for $10. Bing cherries were $3.99 a pound. That's the lowest price I have seen for cherries this year. I picked up 3 pints of blueberries and a big bag of cherries. I like shopping at this Publix. The cashiers are very nice. The employees in each department are very helpful. I find this Publix has more patience with older citizens. My elder dad liked this Publix because he said he was always treated very well. He liked the pharmacist and the pharmacy techs too. They spoke loud enough for him to hear them and slowly. He came here to get his flu shots each year and COVID shots twice. I have had great deli meat sliced here. Some stores have flies. I haven't seen any here while I am here. The people working to slice meat have clean looking meat slicing machines. Other stores are not so clean looking. Here in the deli the employees are working together and helping customers. I highly recommend this Publix. It's one of the better, if not the best in Huntsville, for cleanliness and customer appreciation. read more

I like this Publix. I've been in this store plenty of time due to its location, especially when Mom lived in Redstone Village [sigh! I miss those days]! I would stop here to pick-up last-minute items such as flowers or birthday candles for sweet Momma. It has a slightly different footprint than my "home" Publix stores in Athens and on County Line Road, so it can take a minute to locate some items I need. The staff are consistently helpful and courteous, especially the cashiers. I've never used their pharmacy so I can't speak to that. This store is located at a busy intersection [Whitesburg Drive and Airport Road/Carl T. Jones] in Piedmont Point Shopping Center which is also home to several popular eateries [Little Rosies, Walton's Southern Table, Taziki's, and Outback, and on the north end Chick-Fil-A], which is the reason for no 5th star. The parking spaces are small-ish, and the perimeter road, if you choose to enter/exit using it, is also a back entrance to these restaurants, so it gets a little hectic trying to enter/exit/park. Decent and small little Publix. They have an ATM out front and a coin counting machine. I haven't seen one of those forever. They have a good selection of produce and speciality items, but were out of the frozen veggies I was looking for (baby broccoli blend). They apparently also have $5 sushi on Wednesday. read more

I so appreciated her understanding that he did not feel well. The pharmacist on the other hand was unprofessional and rude with her facial expressions and comments towards us. read more

Kelli and her staff at Publix Pharmacy are incredible. Always friendly and helpful, and have gone the extra mile to ensure scripts are not interrupted for refills. Better prices than any other pharmacies I previously used. They even stayed late to fill my daughter's prescription after she was discharged from the hospital (and none of the other pharmacies had what she needed). My daughter was so grateful, she said the experience made her a loyal customer. This is exemplary customer service, and I could not give any higher recommendation. read more

We live in the Jones Valley area and Publix has always been our go to grocery store. Even before the target and fresh market popped up. The produce, meat and bread are always really fresh. However, the best part of shopping at Publix is the experience. Everyone is always so polite and smiling when they work. You can truly tell Publix treats their employees well because you can see they love their job. I recommend Publix to everyone for groceries, the service is always great! read more

My "home" Publix is in Hampton Cove, but I go to this location now and then. The staff isn't as friendly as Hampton Cove's, and there's a feeling of negative energy here for some reason. But alas, I love Publix. Excellent sales, quality, and selection in bright, clean stores. I felt the need to review this location today because I had a PHENOMENAL lunch there... a footlong mojo sub, with super tender and juicy roast pork and melted cheese. It's on sale every few weeks, as it is this week for $4.99. Now I can put down a footlong Subway sammich with no problem, but I could only eat half of this baby. It's super filling and substantial. Yes, Publix can be a little pricey but their quality and selection make it worth the extra change. I have to admit I'm only rating this to put it on my list of favorite chicken fingers. Crazy...I know. Their chicken fingers have an interesting flavor, a little peppery. My husband loves them and I'm not allowed to make a trip to Publix without picking up a box of chicken fingers for his lunch the next day. I do have to offer a bit of advice...if you're feeding a large crowd consider ordering from their deli. A company I used to work for would feed ~50 of us who worked on Saturday. We rotated between pizza, hot dogs, and the best was always fried chicken and sides from Publix. Now I am not a big fan of fried chicken...too much work for a little meat and by the time I get to the juicy center all of my yummy crust is gone. I LOVE crust and therefore most of the time I just prefer a simple chicken finger. But theirs is actually pretty good and the sides, though not fresh, are very close to what a Southerner is used to. My personal favorite is the fresh bread baked in the deli. I like to pick it up to make fresh phillys or other warm sandwiches for dinner. We have a hard time eating the pre-bagged stuff now that the fresh bread has made an introduction. Publix has the best "grocery store" cakes as well. The cake is super moist and the icing is not too sweet with a cool-whip texture. A big plus is the selection and friendly staff. There is always someone asking to help you. read more

First of all, Publix has the nicest staff you'll ever meet anywhere. That's a blessing and a curse. They all seem to legitimately be happy you are there spending your money and want to facilitate that process like a scientology dude helping you find clear. Most of the time, I just want to shop, to be in my own head space, because it's late and it's crowded and I just want to get my shopping done and go home. But I can't walk ten feet without a Publix employee saying "Good afternoon. Are you finding what you're looking for?" You have to then break your chain of thought and address that employee. Not wanting to be a jerk, of you then begin a 15 second conversation which feels forced and shallow. As a customer, I would please please ask Publix employees to stay available and remain as helpful as you are, but stop greeting me every ten feet. Also, if I (a healthy strong 40 year old man) say I don't need my groceries carried to my car, don't put on the pouty face. There will be a time (if Im lucky) that I will probably appreciate the assist. Right now I can shoot my own baskets and load my own groceries. If I need help finding something, I will ask. Don't worry. I'm a man, I can do stuff. read more

Let me first say that I came in just to get a FEW items off my grocery list for a brunch I'm hosting . From the moment I walked in , I was greeted with smiles . I was constantly asked by ALL workers if I needed help with finding anything . The customer service was absolutely AMAZING and I was so impressed that I went ahead and just bought everything on my grocery list . The best supermarket in town! The meat and seafood is always great, produce fresh and the prices are in line with today's market. They have an excellent selection of pretty what you are looking for. I go here every week to buy groceries for my family. Usually, shopping is a pleasure- like their slogan. I love Publix, don't get me wrong, but one of their workers has changed my heart. This experience made me question buying deli meat here ever again. If you see a woman named Charity at the Boar's Head counter, then leave. She was incredibly rude to me and the other guests. The pharmacy at this Publix is the best I have ever used. When my husband was diagnosed with diabetes, the pharmacist explained everything we needed to know to administer his meds. When we didn't have insurance coverage over the years, they worked with me to find coupons for the prescriptions we needed. When a well meaning doctor prescribed a medicine that wasn't covered by our insurance, the pharmacist was able to suggest an alternative, then helped me call my doctor to have them re-send the prescription order. And the last time I went in the head pharmacist looked up from her work, addressed me by name and gave me the update (without me asking) on how much longer the prescription was going to take to fill. Thanks for your hard work and dedication. It means a lot to some. read more
