The meat department is well maintained and the cuts of meat are always choice cuts and aggressively priced. The selection here isn't the biggest, but they always have the essentials, and just about anything you would need. This is the reason for the 4 star review. The staff is always friendly ready to help with any questions you may have. This Foodland has been here for years and is a staple in the area. It is a great place to shop and it is never super busy (except on the weekends) so you can get in and get out with little hassle. I also love that they bag your groceries and take them to your car and load them for you! It truly adds a great touch on a pleasant shopping experience. All in all, it is a great place to shop, but it you are looking for something out of the ordinary, you may need to go elsewhere. However, just for everyday groceries, you can go wrong.

I always get fantastic gas mileage when I fill my tank. The 2nd reason is the Gas is very cheap! Cheaper than any other places around. That in my book is worth stopping here. The sore itself is that of your typical locally owned gas station. They do sell some hardware, and they have a restaurant inside the store, that sell the best Slaw Dogs in the state of Alabama! They prices on food is a little on the expensive side, but I don't care, because the gas is so good! One thing I do really like is that they sell cold Jones Soda, in a ton of flavors. This is awesome and I pick up a Green Apple Jones Soda and a Slaw Dog every time I am in town. The Owners are super sweet and the staff is always friendly and have a smile on their face. All in all, stop and support local business like this one, and fill that tank with the best gas anywhere in the area.

The last time I was there I wanted to get a pizza, it was undercooked and bland. The clerk was not friendly at all. The place smelled a bit as well. I wish the old owner was still there! The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because it is convenient to get gas there and Macedonia is a very small town. All in all...don't stop if you don't have to.
