ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very cute hidden gem in downtown Sanger! The selection is very country, and very eclectic. What really surprised me was that they had a full-service hair salon tucked away in the back (called, Bombshell)! I thought I had really scored, since I had been looking for someone to do my hair that day, but sadly, the stylists are all independently contracted by appointment only and all were booked. Still, it was a nice discovery! The store owner was very sweet and she did ask the stylists if anyone could squeeze me in, although that did not happen. She did give me a couple local suggestions and was very personable. They have a wonderful homemade candle selection with some unique and some more familiar scents (I couldn't leave without purchasing two of the mason-jars-turned-candles)! The inventory is very rustic/antique, and likely very hit-or-miss, depending one each individuals' tastes and styles. They had a couple pairs of boots, a lot of college paraphernalia for the mostly Texas schools and the local high schools as well. They had some pretty cute furniture too, although the size of the store limits the larger pieces to a dozen or so larger items. Overall, it's a great tourist spot to soak in some local flavor and leave with maybe a trinket or two. If you happen to be in the Sanger area, I would recommend taking the time to do a walk-through of the store and support their local businesses. I visited several of this store's neighbors as well, and had a really nice time just browsing around... Who knew all of these great little shops were nestled within the confines of the Sanger square? *The owner also indicated to me that she planned on opening on Sundays in the near future - with hours to coincide with the infamous Babe's Chicken located just around the corner (they are currently closed on Sundays and Mondays).*

If you needed to outfit an apartment or home, you could probably find every single thing here. They also have clothing, which seems reasonably priced. You have to use the restroom to try on. We only dealt with the workers very briefly and they seemed fine. I'll check back every couple months, I don't think their items are turned over terribly quickly so you don't have to go multiple times a month.

The number of businesses in downtown Valley View Texas is very limited and this is one of the nicest stores of this type anywhere around. It is housed in two old buildings which are connected with a large doorway. The old exposed brick walls can be seen throughout the establishment. The store sells rustic furniture and nic -nacks with a rustic western flair. There are some clothing items as well as many gift items throughout the establishment. The owner is a very interesting person to talk with about the store as well as the history of downtown Valley View. Ask her about the robbery and burning of the bank downtown. This store along with a bakery next door have been renovated and they both retain an historical tradition while at the same time are modern establishments.
