I like when you first walk in to the store they have all the holiday items stocked full. They have a great selection of cards and the one I bought today was only 50 cents. I'll take it.! Staff here is always friendly and they greet you once you walk in the door. Plenty of parking and walking distance to our beautiful lakefront.

The store is well organized and very clean definitely a step up from the Dollar General and Family Dollar on French Ave. The only downfall is they have several roof leaks that need repair. The building has sat vacant here for years so maybe the owners didn't perform a proper inspection before buying/renting the space?? Hope they can fix it before the daily afternoon rainstorms start. Tonight we stopped in for some Father's Day cards and a few snacks. Prices here are very reasonable and there is a decent variety of Independence Day decorations in stock just in time for the big event. All in all I would definitely recommend a stop here before going downtown for your big evening out. It's a great place to grab a few drinks and snacks to hold you over while you shop downtown.

The flower pots I bought had no drainage holes on the bottom. I tried to put holes myself and they cracked. The plastic is very thin. They are not worth $1.25 each. I did find an herb starter kit that I liked. Let's see if I get any parsley... Yes, they had only one cashier. It appears that is all we are getting at Dollar Tree.

Dollar Trees can be a hit or miss experience. One will have a better cleaning supply section…read moreversus another where the grocery section has more. This one is a hit, I think. Their beauty supply and nail section is well-stocked and, more and more, the ladies will be on the look-out for products they can score at a better price point. This Dollar Tree is en route to Debary and the parking lot is a good size. The staff are friendly and check-outs run pretty smooth. Now I just have to stop myself from coming here everyday for new goodies.

The only way to get in here somewhat economically is if you're going South on 17-92 and turn right into the plaza then leave the plaza going west on 25th street (HE Thomas). The reason for this visit was to catch a Thanksgiving deal! Spend a minimum of $25 (excluding price of turkey, beer & wine or gift cards) and pay only 49 cents per pound on a Honeysuckle Whole Turkey. The issue was the store had only two turkeys remaining in the display and they were roughly 8-9 pounds each which wouldn't cut it for Thanksgiving. Fortunately, the clerk offered us the same deal for the Butterball brand. The Turkey we purchased was 12.66 pounds at $1.39 per pound at a total cost of $17.60. With the discount plus taxes the Turkey ended up costing us roughly 51 cents per pound at a total cost of $6.50. That's about a 37% savings, not a bad deal if you ask me. Although I appreciate the great deal we received here today, I would not continue to shop here often. You're not going to "Save-a-Lot". Aldi blows these prices away and the food quality at Aldi is superior. Additionally, the store layout is not organized in a fashion that allows customers to find things easily. Management should take note of how Walmart and Publix coordinate their floor plans. I look forward to seeing a change for the better at this store and would be willing to come back more frequently if one ever occurs. Until then, I will wait for the next great discount.

What they have…read more Save-A-Lot was started back in 1977 and has expanded across the country so now there are more than 1,200 stores. A simple concept of eliminating the bells and whistles and giving lower prices. This Save-A-Lot is typical of many, a small store with no frills. You don't go here for the aesthetics or scenery, you go here to save a buck or two. Not a huge selection but what they do have is usually less than what you will pay at other stores. The stuff is just sort of dumped out on the floor without much thought but that's all right because you can easily sort out what's here. The folks at the check out are very pleasant and nice and always smile and say hello. Certainly not the largest or most diverse of stores, but you will end up paying less than at other groceries. It's clean but kind of chaotic. You take your chance here, you will save money but will end up not necessarily with what you want but instead with what they happen to have.
