Tonight when I open the package it had a bad smell however the seal on the package indicated a sell by date for 2 more days. When I took the meat back to them to exchange it in for fresher meat, I brought in my receipt along with the original packaging and sell by date sticker the lady assisting me said she would get a manager when he came out he asked me what took me so long to cook it I said I only bought it three days ago and the sell by date indicated it was still good. Also I have purchased and stored meat and understand that refrigeration and use by/sell by dates vary. The fact that he thought it was best to question me about it rather than acknowledge and correct the issue I advised I would go elsewhere and he can keep the bad meat. They lost a customer and I was able to purchase fresh meat elsewhere for more than half the cost for the same amount of meat and fresh. Lesson learned. Do not shop here if you want fresh goods that are not over priced. Terrible management. No customer service skills.

Taqueria orders are typically ready pretty quickly, though they are short-staffed at the moment. You pay for your food at the taqueria instead of at the main checkout. Orders come wrapped in foil and are placed into plastic bags. There are also other yummy staples available here like pan dulce, which comes pre-bagged near the parking lot entrance. Lots of items that you won't find at Savemart that you might need for traditional dishes. And if you need pinatas for a party, they also have a good selection of those. A really solid store that I enjoy shopping at - especially for the taqueria.
