When you walk in you could be in any other shoe store in California. This isn't your small town farmer shoe store. This is a high end orthopedic shoes, the good stuff, high quality. I want going to go in because I was looking for speciality shoes. It turns out they have the same brands as Rei and the walking store. They were very patient with me as I went back to my car to get my socks and then spent an hr or so trying on boots. I finally settled on the merrell, short, waterproof. She also sprayed them free of charge. I would highly recommend this family owned business. read more

First and foremost, I am a big fan of 'Shopping Local.' I always have and still do! I have lived in other parts of the state, have traveled the world and have seen the difference between excellent and unacceptable customer service. The first time I visited this store, I was in search of a great pair of shoes. I would've gladly patronized this small-town shoe store had they got the 'meet and greet' part on point. Sad to say, this did not even come close. I don't like to play the 'race card;' I'll be honest, it crossed my mind. Did they or did they not want my business because of my nationality? Either way, it didn't matter because my favorite Shoe Store, in another local city is still in business--even after C-19. So they, along with other brick-and-mortar businesses and stores online get our consistent business. What a crying shame since Sam's could've made a profit from this one visit over the time period that we've lived here, which is almost ten years. Sam's had their chance to make a really good impression; in the end, lost would-be savvy clients. I say clients because I would've obviously told everyone about them. I have always loved Sam's shoe store and have bought countless pairs of Ugg's from them over the years and have never had an issue! This last time I bought a pair that just were a bit too narrow, and I tried them on and the girl convinced me they would widen out with wear. I purchased them, brought them home and tried them on again and just decided they were too narrow and uncomfortable for me. I brought them back exactly three days later and Veronica told me my feet were imprinted in them and they were filthy and unsellable. I've never had a problem with Sam's and Veronica was completely rude and unreasonable. She didn't offer any alternatives, she wasn't apologetic, and when I asked her why she was being so rude, she quickly escalated it and told me to come back and speak to the owner. I'm very disappointed because they were never worn, and they are an expensive pair of shoes and now I can't get my money back or even store credit, or a coupon. Very sad cause I loved shopping there, and wish they didn't have rude and nasty employees like Veronica. read more

I came here with my mother in law and immediately loved the selection of kids shoes. However, no one greeted me or asked if I needed any help. I had to ask, and then maybe the older woman who works there (owner?) doesn't have any children but seemed very put off by my 3 kids who were looking at shoes. I have a very active one year old who liked grabbing but I would immediately put something back. My two year old picked up a shoe she liked and the lady asked for it back. What was that? Completely rude. Even my mother in law said later when we got home she didn't think the woman there was very nice. My first experience here and it was a bad one, I won't be returning. read more

What a great shop this is! Sam's never fails to disappoint. Eric does a great job sourcing current styles. They carry a nice selection of Uggs, sandals, athletic shoes, kids shoes, Tom's, boots, dress shoes...Our whole family loves Sam's. It is worth the drive to Reedley wherever you live. I hate going to big department stores & seeing shoes thrown all over the floor and working with salespeople that don't know their product. read more
