My sushi of choice: Fresh Salmon, Avocado, and Cream Cheese sushi loaded with lots of caviar or Tobiko in a maki roll. Tobiko is rich in protein, omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients. Similar to salmon eggs, tobiko is high in fat that can help protect the heart and liver, reduce inflammation, and improve learning ability. I was, also, told it is good for enhancing vision by sushi chefs in Florida. It is sweeter than caviar and has cute tiny Pearl like shape. It adds a semi salty yet savory taste to the sushi.

I kind of do mind, because I don't like shopping. Walking into the commissary is a bit of an anxiety attack for me. As soon as you enter you can see the wait line for the checkouts. If you've been in the military, you already know that the line is usually halfway down a shopping aisle and three rows of turn stiles before you get to the register. As for the prices, you really can't beat them and it is worth making the trip. They also carry foods from all over, which is very appreciated by military families. Don't forget to tip your baggers. That's all they work for, and will probably load your groceries in your vehicle better than we could anyway. Be kind.

Nice to know there's more than one Asian market in Clarksville, and most of them seem to focus on…read morethe Korean stuff, which is fine by me. I wanted to pick up just a few items and I went to the the two places that were on my way home and the other spot was smaller, the prices slightly higher and service was less than attentive. New Koa is larger, a better value and within minutes of me walking in a gentleman came to ask if I needed help with anything. I came away with a sriracha, sesame oil, a small jar of kimchi and since I was hungry got a tray of gimbap and a pomegranate flavored aloe juice for twenty bucks and some change, not a bad haul. I wandered around a little bit and on top of the food items there's also a section of mostly Korean flatware and even clothing. This will be where my Asian shopping needs will be met when I am in need.

My favorite food here is the Korean sushi or kimbap. Korean Kimbap (also known as gimbap) are rice…read morerolls that look a lot like sushi. Traditional fillings for kimbap include seasoned vegetables, egg, meat, and/or imitation crab, but these days anything goes. Korean Kimbap in this store had fish, radish, carrot, and spinach. $5.99 - very affordable! It was delicious! The reviews on this store were stellar. The options were wonderful here. I got four different types of ramen. Homemade kimchi and radishes in mason jars were a delight. Prices were cheap to moderate. I spent $30 here quick. I will definitely come back again.

I pull up and there's a note on the door that says they are not there and left a phone number to call them and they would come. Uh, no thanks. I've been inside once and I know they had what I needed, but very cramped. Grabbed my phone and Yelped for another Asian market. There was another one just past the casino that had a big selection and that's where I'll be going from now on.

It's a really small storefront and there's a lot of clutter and a small spot in the back where it looks like they still rent out Korean videos. The prices seem a little higher than down the street but the real season I'm giving it such low stars is that I don't think the owners even knew I was there-or at least didn't act like it. I pulled in and there were two Korean ladies talking while one was rearranging vegetables and didn't get a word of acknowledgment-that's fine, used to the level of 'Korean' service and brushed it off as cultural, but I went down one aisle-one of just two mind you, I didn't get any response as I looked at items. I turned around, walked out and the veggie arranger was not behind the counter but I don't think she noticed me leaving, in retrospect I probably should have walked out with a big jar of kimchi since her friend out front had left and I don't think it would have registered-both my visit or the disappearance of her stock until much, much later. The extra star is that they had smaller bottles of Sriracha in stock.
