Rude cashier and a horrible manager…read more Waited behind a few younger kids while the cashier was stocking, wasn't that big of a deal because I was planning on waiting until she was finished doing what she was doing then let her know we were up there. This cashier was talking to the manager who let her know that we were up there, she then proceeded to walk up to the front and turn back around to the aisle she was in and continue stocking while yelling to the manager two aisles over "There is a bell up there that they can ring." Remind you two younger, shy girls were in front of me, I hadn't seen the bell and she surely couldn't have expected those children to ring the bell for her. I understand that cashiers stock and it can get hectic in there but it was by no means busy and she walked up there and back to stocking while we were in line.

What more could you want for your dollar...store?…read more Okay, so it's not the most amazing store on the planet and the cognoscenti, in this case, are on a lower budget than most but Dollar General has a lot to offer if you're careful. This is one of their older stores, which means that it frequently looks a mess. In this area, they have quite a few stores and are building more. Since 2008, the economy has been good for dollar stores and the dollar stores have been hurting Walmart, as Walmart hurt discount stores like Kmart and Woolworth. Dollar General has good deals, sometimes, great deals but you have to be willing to search and you have to be willing to move things in this store. I'd say food is their big draw. They accept food stamps and they provide their own lower-priced brand. They also have big name brands, but in quantities which aren't always the same as your typical grocery store. Calculate the value, as always. Dollar stores are sometimes more expensive than other types of stores but they confuse by using unique sizes. I started buying from Dollar General because they had grated parmesan/parmagiana cheese that I liked better than Kraft or 4C, but now, I go there for other food items and greeting cards and household items. They also have clothing, and some of it is name brand. For a store its size, the health and beauty items are plentiful. At this store, you'll even find some DVDs but you'll find them near the clothing for some reason. They've got a small refrigerator for milk, eggs, and bacon. Unfortunately, I can't find everything I want, so I end up shopping there for things I can't find elsewhere or coupon bargains. They've been running "Super Saturday" deals where you buy something during the week and take your receipt on Saturday for a 15 % (I believe) discount on your total. If you shop regularly, you'll do well. Of course, you can go to the store at the south end of town, which is much more organized since it's newer, the west side of town, or who knows where they'll build a new store soon.

However, as we browsed the aisles on search of random other dollar priced needs, I did take note that this particular location was a lot cleaner and more well organized than others. I made an assessment in my last review that maybe all Dollar Tree's feel run down and disorganized because of the crappy quality of most of their products..well this location proved that theory wrong. Good for them. While browsing their random $1 DVD section I did come across quite a find. Episodes of that random 90's Saturday morning NBC show "California Dreams". Ha..what a blast from the past. I had forgotten all about that show..it was basically a B-version of "Saved by the Bell"..well..which was a B-version of a prime time sitcom..which would make "California Dreams" a double B version of..I dunno..no need to go down that rabbit hole. Anywho, I was super psyched about my obscure DVD find..and impressed with the stores cleanliness and organization. Despite the mortal sin of them not carrying ice..I would have to say this location is still A-Ok in my book.

Predator employee named "Sarah" looks more interested in harming/disturbing people than checking…read moreout their items. She was disgustingly unprofessional and weird. Began breathing loudly and hard because I was paying in quarters and dimes. This is dollar tree right. Just checking. I felt so disturbed by her presence I asked her manager if she could finish the transaction because "Sarah" didn't know the difference left from 4.26$ after I gave her 3.00 in change. The customer In line behind me began talking about how her purse is so heavy from all the change she saves up, and that she wants to spend her change as well here. I specifically told this employee "Sarah" so they have to wear gloves and if not, do not touch the fuzzy item I'm about to purchase. I scanned item myself and set it in other side of register because she isnt wearing gloves. After I scanned it my self "Sarah" went out her way to touch the fuzzy item I place on the other side of the register. There was literally no rhyme or reason. She just touched it than started at me very mischievously. I nicely asked her not the item and she did with her finger that just could have just been up her dirty ........... for all I know. There was a larger selection than my go-to Dollar Trees closer to home. Plus, the merchandise was categorized in a way that made things easy to find. I liked how their seasonal merchandise (this time, it was back-to-school office supplies) was right in front and there was enough room to walk around the aisle to look at everything. The shelves were at eye level so you could see over top to the next section. Usually, Dollar Trees tend to have a better selection of one genre of items, and a different Dollar Tree in the next town over will have a good selection of another. Tri-County Dollar Tree had a vastly equal selection of everything, from home goods to beauty products to gift wrap. As always, this shop stays true to its name: every item in the store costs $1.00.
