The older woman who checked me out said "well it was on the sale rack" as in I should know better? I still didn't consider having a place sell jars of food that far out of date. With that statement and the tone of her voice I felt maybe the date was covered intentionally to be deceitful? I wasn't even upset about it but felt hostility from the worker for returning it. The produce and meat are always fresh and a staple of mine every time I shop there. The staff in Aldi are always staying busy, but they never seem rushed and always have time to help people.
