Ollie's Bargain Outlet is one of my favorite places to stop because of the random stuff they have…read more I was excited to hear that Ollie's purchased the former Toys R Us in Pennsdale, as the Williamsport area was one of the few lacking a store. Store is a standalone building with plenty of parking. Building still looks like a Toys R Us, and they still use its former carts. This store has some problems though. Ollie's didn't refinish the floor, so you can still see where the former shelves were. This store is also too small and crowded. Most other new Ollie's are going into bigger buildings then this, so the aisles of this store are too narrow, similar to the Shamokin Dam location. The entrance of the store still uses most of the Toys R Us layout, and its wasted space that should have been reconfigured. Stock was good during my visit and business was brisk, so it's exciting that the Williamsport area has an Ollie's. It feels like the setup and cleanup of the store wasn't fully thought out and needed more attention.

Just think of an Ollie's with cleaner locations and slightly more expensive merchandise. Muncy's store is located in a former Supermarket outside of the Lycoming Mall. The store is clean and well organized with a better stock of products (especially food) compared to the Bloomsburg location. Where this store suffers is the lack of space, as the former supermarket is smaller then other stores. The food isles are only one person wide, so if you are larger like me, it makes maneuvering hard. The checkout area is also tight and customers who look like they are in line might just be shopping. Overall the store is nice, just crowded.

They had a nice selection of books but not many food items like my old Ollie's in Eagleville had. The store is located in a rather depressing shopping center near the Suburu dealership. I found cute inexpensive pet toys - my grand animals are coming to visit this weekend . Ollie's had a great deal on some plug in scented oils and warmers from air wick. I bought a few. They also had a great buy on Oil of Olay spf sunscreen lotion. I picked up a twin pack for only 6.99- and it wasn't even nearing the expiration date. The shopping center itself is decrepit and run down. I didn't go inside the "mall" after Ollie's. I'm glad to have an Ollie's kind of nearby but it's not a destination shopping experience by any means. The cashier, an older man, was pleasant and friendly.

It's a 45 second walk across Water Street. Of times, if I load up an entire cart, I just walk it to my apartment, unload, then walk it back! The staff is friendly, the store has a vast array of products, and they do have "DOLLAR" priced items, but don't be judgemental if you find items that are priced more than that. Dollar General is not a "Dollar Tree" or "Dollar Store," but they do sell items for a discounted rate that if you were to buy them in other stores like Ace or Weis Markets would be considerably more expensive. Recently, they started to carry the full line of Swiffer products (my apartment has all hardwood floors) and I have even bought really nice drapes and window treatments. They carry a variety of cereal products, canned goods, spices, kitchen needs, brick a brack, sodas, junk food, dairy, eggs, lunch meat and cheese, ice cream, the list goes on. Not only that, they carry name brand hygiene products for a lot less money than other "family" stores. If you are on a fixed income, or just in the habit of saving money, you can find all kinds of things that will cut down your spending habits on necessities of life to keep your household goods stocked.

The store itself is in a convenient location and has a huge parking lot but it is not kept very clean. The items on the shelves are often disorganized but I can usually find what I'm looking for and everything appears to be labeled with price tags. They do offer a range of products from bath and beauty, grocery, household items, toys/games, seasonal items, and some clothing. The service isn't too bad. It has never taken me a long time to go through the checkout. It is not my preferred discount store but it is the closest one in town. It is decent enough that I will continue to shop there on occasion.

As we were at the register, a young man politely asked for two fives as change for a ten dollar bill. Store manager Karen said to him when he asked that he might have to take a ten. She said that the bank wasn't open until Monday when they'd get change. She again said that he'll have to take what she can give him. He stood quietly and patiently while Karen gave him his change that included a 10 dollar bill. She then said to him, "We have a business to run." Really?!!! So uncalled for. We saw the man in the parking lot and said we didn't like hiw Karen treated him. We promised to speak up. Dollar Tree, please address this inappropriate behavior witnessed by several.

Signage in all the appropriate places. They have coolers with a variety of food and drinks and they have a grocery section. They have all your needs covered from baby to personal care to housewares and even holiday decor. I was a bit surprised they didn't have a self-checkout, but it didn't take away from the experience. The employee was friendly at checkout and moved quickly.
