To compare I usually shop at Trader Joe's and sometimes Publix, Publix is only when I'm grabbing a few things since we all know it's expensive. Comparable in prices to Trader Joe's but still overall cheaper and I appreciate that. The customer service is okay, and I wouldn't go further than that, you aren't greeted, you can't really find anyone for questions, and there's at max one person in working a register with all other registers being self check out. The store was very clean and everything was pretty easy to find. Super cheap wine options, hopefully they don't taste as cheap as they are lol. Overall, I'd say this is an amazing store for families, it won't break the bank. however, I'll likely end up going to both Trader Joe's getting only some things at Aldi in the future since you just can't beat Trader Joe's creative cultural options and super friendly customer service.

It's a Winn-Winn, they say!…read more Winn-Dixie has truly upgraded their game! Taking the spot of the old Lucky's, Winn-Dixie has rolled back into town and they are GLOWING!! I'll be honest, I'm usually a Publix, Trader Joe's or Ward's kinda gal, but this Winn-Dixie has made me into a renewed fan. It's all bright and shiny now because it's new, and the overall new layout and vibe has definitely set the pace for the future! The open floor plan really makes me feel comfortable, especially in a pandemic, as I can move around and really explore the aisles without bumping into someone! With organized aisles, bright lights and enough friendly faces that don't leave you waiting in long lines, Winn-Dixie is starting off on a good note! My favorite part of the store? The Taproom of course!! I was spoiled with Lucky's option to sip and shop, and I was SO excited to be greeted by the glowing lights of the bar! Sometimes chicken breasts are BOGO as well as bagels, bread, even sweets sometimes. Two weeks ago, I even got the huge bags of pizza rolls BOGO. Helps a lot when you're a struggling college kid. While I do agree that sometimes the produce isn't super fresh or stocked, it's rare that it occurs. I also don't typically shop for produce here since it CAN be a bit pricey. I'm not from the state, so we don't have these stores, but I was surprised to see a bar and hot food towards the back of the establishment. It's always clean and the people working there seem to be nice. They play a lot of rock music, which I like. It's a cool vibe. Overall though, this specific Winn-Dixie is a personal favorite. Sushilicious! lol Don't even ask me about the rotisserie chicken. Worlds better. You don't want that Pubix pigeon. Jyeah, you could totally upgrade yourself into bankruptcy shopping interesting and unusual things but you don't have to. Stick to the script and you'll be better off for it. One note to management: the bathrooms really need more attention. They should be checked and cleaned much more frequently--honestly, I think they should be looked at at least every hour. Keeping the bathrooms clean makes such a difference in the overall shopping experience. Overall, a productive trip and we got everything we needed to get her ready for another year at college! We were very used to BJs Wholesale before we moved here. Sam's Club is basically the same, but…read moresince it is the only wholesale club in Gainesville, it's also usually crowded, so we almost always use their curbside service rather than going in. Saying that, not sure if it is representative of the current times, but they have strangely run out of some staples for days on end (fresh chicken breast/tenderloins, some milk, heavy cream, salads) which seems odd. To be fair, they are in stock about 85-90% of the time, but when they aren't they're usually not available for over a week. The curbside service is usually good, but have had times where not everything was included in my order and didn't notice until I got home. Also, a recent bad experience where rotisserie chicken didn't come out with my other items (including frozen/refrigerated) and was told they're going to have them in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later, no chicken, and the guy who was handling my curbside order went on break! I had to bring all my frozen/refrigerated items inside to customer service to return them as they were just sitting in my car as we waited for the chicken to come out. They should have never brought out my order if it was not complete. If you use their app and go inside, unfortunately the app does NOT tell you were things are located. I wish they had this capability, but admittedly they move stuff around A LOT while some stuff is consistently located, not everything is. Usually the folks inside can direct you to where things should be, but there's never a guarantee. Pro tips for curbside service: - Make sure you indicate you are "on your way" to the store before you get there. This will help get you order to your car faster once you do arrive. - Check your order before they leave to make sure you got everything! - Do not let them bring out a partial order and tell you they'll be back with the rest. Make sure they give you everything at once. Pro tips for shopping in the store: - Use Scan & Go in the app to scan and pay for all your items. It's MUCH faster than if you wait in line to pay.
