When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. There were so many unique, better for you options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I grabbed a bag of herb-seasoned popcorn on a whim and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 10 out of 10. The store itself is quaint, but don't let the size fool you I easily spent an hour exploring, especially the seasonal items. Between the fresh flowers, quality products, and overall inviting vibe, this place is officially back in my rotation. It may be "close ish," but it's absolutely worth the trip.

About an hour ago, I stopped at this Publix just to get some deli meat…read more I was standing at the deli counter for a couple of minutes and one of the people who was behind the counter, had their back to me, and I figured that they would turn around and wait on me. They didn't. they turned around and looked at me and walked into the back. Another person behind the deli counter came up to where that was looked at me and walked into the back, and I thought they were going to get somebody to help me. Well they didn't .They didn't say anything. They came back out, looked at me and walked around to the other counter. Then there was another person who was writing something down. When that person finished writing, they walked toward me, looked at me and walked into the back. Then that person came back out from the back, looked at me and walked the other way. None of them said " can I help you?" or " wait just a minute I'll find somebody to help you." They just walked away. So after about five minutes, I walked away too, and I may never go back to this Publix again...

Never put your blink on or get into that turning lane until after you've passed this kroger. This used to have a thriving shopping center around the side of the building. Not anymore. Save time. I have come to expect a lack of staffed cashier lines (reminiscent of lesser grocery opportunities in town), and frequently out-of-inventory items (especially items which you have tempted me to purchase with coupons). However, today I struggled to even obtain service. After doing my best to complete my shopping list, again with missing inventory items, I walked to the deli for chicken. I am the only customer at the deli area (including sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.). There were four workers doing things behind the counter. After a few moments, one offered that he would be with me in a minute. I walked away after 2 minutes of watching the 4 people do other tasks. I know everyone is busy, I get busy at work myself, but that behavior is completely unacceptable on my team. After giving up on getting chicken for dinner I went to check out. Aside from th10-15 items or less lane, only one cashier lane was lit, and it had 3 full waiting buggies. I selected self-checkout. I zipped through all of my items (buggy full, total was about $140). The last thing I had was five (5) twelve (12) packs of Power-aid. I had a rain check for these because, well, you know. Luckily there were 5 left in the store...exactly 5. I spent the next 10+ minutes working with the lady to ring up those and handle the price override. The order had to be transferred to her station. When she attempted to scan my coupons afterwards, her machine would not work. She called to another line for assistance and that lady came down after finishing up her existing customer. She verified the machine scanner was not working and moved my order to her station. As I got over there, she was scanning my coupons and I attempted to make sense of the Power-aid entries----about 32-34 lines showing Power-aid (original price, discount, remove original price, add back discount, price override). It seemed a few entries had been double voided and perhaps some added incorrectly. I spent some time trying to make sense of that from the receipt and it seemed everyone around (3 workers at this time) might be getting irritated. I was being informed "yes, there it is, you had 6 right, you see the...", I said no, I had 5. Then I realize I have been in checkout, without my chicken dinner, for over 20 minutes. It had started heavily raining in the last 3 minutes. Now I would need to walk out in the monsoon, without my chicken dinner, having my frozen items now defrosting for over 20 minutes before even making it to the car, and wondering if I had overpaid for my Power-aid....of course that assumed I could complete the purchase in a timely fashion. It was here I gave up and asked to just void the sale and I wanted to speak to a store manager. It went downhill from that point. I dropped by customer service and asked if the store manager was available. The lady did ask if she could help me, but I said no, I needed to complain. After a bit a person (Jamie Parks) did come down to talk. I explained all of the issues to him. At that point I suggested I would like to just file a complaint with the regional/district manager---I felt it important. Jamie said that the store manager was in and I could speak to him. Then it hit me, I had already asked for the store manager, yet here I was talking to Jamie. Obviously my request was about as useful as my trying to obtain service at the deli. Here I figured I would never get the contact for the regional/district manager and Jamie did not disappoint. All I was able to obtain is that I could call the Kroger on Hartley Bridge and that is where I would find that person. Really Kroger? You can do better than this.....

Does anyone really buy items here that's not food? They had the pots and pans for a premium that are basically overpriced. If I want to pay good money, I'll go to a regular store that sells pots and pans or order them online. So many crazy people who haven't a clue working there. Last time I was there, the lines were long and someone cut themselves and there was blood on the floor. The worker rather than steering people away was annoyed at people complaining about not wanting to step on the blood on the floor. Got to love their mix and match beer by the can--not. This is just old cans of beer that didn't sell. This is the same building but with more mess and less quality. It's congested to get in, congested to get out and as far as I'm concerned, a total waste of space. It should go the way of the K Mart that used to be on the other end of this shopping center.

I see no reason to go in there for any fresh produce. I have bought their frozen foods but then got some that were freezer burned. Pass.s They have a selection of wine and beer, not a great one. Once I bought a bottle of wine for Christmas eve. Nice looking wine. When it came time to open it, the glass splintered and a lot of small pieces fell into the bottle. I mentioned this to whoever checked me out the next time I came in. Didn't get an offer for a replacement or even sorry that happened. Cheese used to be good until they raised the price and made the package so small it wasn't worth going in. They used to have a nice beer selection and foreign brands. Now, it's nothing special that you can't find at a gas station. I don't trust the meats anymore. Sticky, bloody, sometimes nasty packages. When they didn't have meats and other items I wanted, after about two times, it just wasn't worth coming in.

They weren't. She contacted Instacart to get a redelivery. Insacart cancelled her account after a "thorough investigation". While I realize that Kroger is not responsible for the final delivery, Kroger has chosen Instacart to deliver their products. I work in retail and frequently deal with Instacart shoppers. They almost universally work under the influence of marijuana. Think carefully whether you want inebriated people coming to your home.
