Arriving shortly before closing, I was able to find what I needed here which included a lidded coffee cup (my customer doesn't have bottled water in their soda machines because they're "green") and a cleaning cloth. And when I was checking out, I mentioned to the clerk that I needed a hat and I was not only surprised that they have hats here (for a dollar!), but she didn't just point me to it but she walked me over to the aisle. That's customer service. Some DTs are untidy, especially at closing time. Not this one, which had well stocked shelves and no boxes of merchandise waiting to be put away. I do think the items here tend to lean more conservative/vintage etc but there are surely gems to be found. During my visit there was a sale for 50% off Linens which was kind of crazy because their original price is already really affordable. I was looking for towels/blankets to help cushion some my heavier and more fragile purchases that I made and I picked up the three hand knitted blankets for $6. I can't even get yarn for $6 let alone have a finished product. This was definitely a more sustainable way to ensure my fragile souvenirs could get back home safely and I think was cheaper than buying bubble wrap. Prices in this shop are inexpensive compared to California Thrift shops so I think it's worth a look!

I was here 3 days ago and Glen was a rockstar and helped me get groceries, my card had suffered damage and I am fighting homelessness while attempting to stay afloat with my 2 small children but Glen and his supervisors helped me figure it out and we learnt the cash register code together to get through this last month of benefits that unfortunately put on a food stamp card, which today got me handed nothing but bigotry and looked down upon. The staff refused to call in a manager and got very aggressive with me and showed disgust at my mentioning it's my veteran benefits...everyone deserves a second chance but this man pretending to be a leader needs a second chance at a drug test; stimulants were not tuned down with his marijuana vape puffs he takes in his smoke breaks, med patient or not it is against Walmart policies. I apologized for my sailor jargon and controlled my vocabulary, he should have as well but obviously he has not received the proper training of a real leader. I am appalled at their behavior and the crew allowing such a negative tone to dictate their work environment. I'd give one less star if I could but Glen deserves the 1 star.

A book hoarder's paradise - be ready to spend a lot of time in here!…read more Look, I love me some unique and privately owned bookstores. But this place was just B-A-N-A-N-A-S. I have never seen anything like it! When you step inside and hear those little bells jingle jangle on the door, you feel like you're stepping into Harry Potter land. I have never, and I mean EVER, seen so many books in one place in my entire life. They were stacked, shoved in front of one another, floor to ceiling, and just EVERYWHERE. Imagine stepping into one of those houses on Hoarder's...but instead of trash and dead animals, it's books. That was this place. Not joking, there was a WALKWAY built into the books. The employee there did not even know I was in there because the books shielded me from view! I'm sure you could find just about anything you wanted in here (they actually do cover quite a few genres), but you'd have to make a commitment to sort through everything, because there's absolutely no rhyme or reason to the books except for the genre corners they inhabit. I would have sifted through some books and spent longer in there, but I'm not kidding, I had a panic attack from the claustrophobia (and heat) and had to leave. Prices seem decent, and I do appreciate some creaky wooden floorboards.

Walmart to the rescue and that means that I get to review my 79th Walmart in my 23rd state. Yep, I've hit a few here and there. This Walmart was in pretty good condition. Clean, bright, neatly laid out in the usual Walmart format. I was able to easily find electronics, pick the cheapest car charger and pay for it at the self checkout. I did pass through a few other departments along the way and saw that they looked well stocked and neatly leveled.

I was notified it would be delayed less than 2 hours. 3 hours had gone by and I heard nothing. I messaged the help center and I was told my order was prioritized and would arrive within one or two hours. Again, nothing. I call the help center who then contacted the Walmart responsible for my delivery. The online order department was closed and they pushed my delivery to the next day. As a former Walmart employee, and having done online ordering myself, this is unacceptable and it does not meet the standards the company strives for.
